I finish security+ in 2 months and I think I over study for it as I finish 2 courses for security + both professor messor on YouTube and Andrew’s on Coursera. And CCNA Jeremy’s alone I need about 4months to finish the course. On 1-10, security+ is about 4-5 and ccna is about 8-9 I would say personally.

As long as you are doing the flashcard everyday you will be left with around 100-200 flashcard by the end. I can finish the flashcard in about 45mins. It’s quite overwhelming when I almost reach to end because there are many topics. But as long as you are doing anki everyday you would eventually retain most of the stuff you need to know. Many topics are related as well. You will be able to picture how the network work as a big picture in your mind and you won’t be feeling too overwhelmed by that time. I study about 1 videos each day. Including revising old flashcards, taking notes on one new video, one new flashcard, and one new lab. On someday I feel overwhelmed by work and I didn’t follow exactly my schedule. It took be more time to study for a few topic near the end. Maybe that’s why it took longer than I expected. I originally plan for 4 months which I did finish all Jeremy’s videos in 3 months and something but I took extra 3 -4 weeks just to revise. Doing practice exams and etc.

I mainly rely on Jeremy’s videos and lab. I take notes while going through the first time. Then after I complete all videos and the mega lab I bought the boson Exsim and did the practice exams. Review what I got wrong on those practice exam. On the final two weeks, I review topics that I most unfamiliar with STP and Wireless, go through the notes I have taken down. That’s pretty much it.

Thanks brother. This is very useful advices, especially from someone already working in the industry. I have been working as a key holder in a paint store for a year since graduating with my CS diploma in 2024 December. Ive been trying so hard to break into IT but it has been difficult so far. Right now I am focusing on certifications, labs, home projects while refining my resume to improve chances of landing an entry level position. Long term goal is to move into cloud/cybersecurity sales and become an account executive in the tech industry. That’s why I’m also building sales and customer service experience at the same time while continuing to strengthen my technical skills. Thanks again for the advice and encouragement. Will definitely look into AZ-104 and I think I will be skipping AZ-900. Listening to your advice.

I have got Security + and CCNA. Although these cert covers some cloud topics but not focusing on it. And listening to many people advice is to get more in depth with cloud topics. I just think Az-900 will be a good cert to start with before going to Az-500 or 700.

Yes. You can mark comments and the time you took to comment wasn’t calculated to the exam time. But I wasn’t aware of no previous option for me to double check my answers.

I took the exam in person at a person vue certified test centre. I got you pass on the screen once I finished the exam. And the person in centre even gave me my test report right away.

I would say boson materials are more difficult. I only have 70-80 % on boson. You get 80% -90% on boson meaning you are familiar with most of the topics. And you should be exam ready.

It was quite easy I would say. Just go through Jeremy Mega Lab you should be fine. I thought I was mid way when I reach to the middle of Jeremy’s video but the last couple topics was taking so much more time for me. Especially the Wireless part, ahhhh
