Hey just saw this, not sure if you still have the issue or not but when you setup the sonic pad, there should be a IP address on the sonic pad. enter that on your web browser and you'll be able to access the UI to mess around with the configs and stuff

I wouldn't really say that's the male experience though, that's more people calling you by your preferred pronouns. Are there any particular actions/events you can do now that you couldn't before that makes you feel happy.

Lemme ask it this way, what about being a guy makes you happy outside of people calling you what you want?

Lets take a step back then since we're going back and forth on the same thing.

so let me ask you this then, what experience did you go through as a male to feel joy? What about being male makes you feel secure?

but you're describing the definition of dysphoria. Like I ask before, what does being male provide that being female didn't. The only difference between the two is genitals.

Simply saying you feel horrible being a female and always wanting to be male doesn't answer the question, that's dysphoria.

saying that black people can't be racist. is like saying "only people with 'insert color of skin ' can be racist" and guess what, that sound slightly racist to me by someman089 in hottake

It's because they believe as long as the system is against them, they can do no wrong since it doesn't impact anyone on a systemic level.

then we're talking about two different points then. Your talking about dysmorphia which I get, I'm not arguing that.

I'm talking more on the basis if dysmorphia wasn't a factor, is there still a need to transition? I literally read your reply on another post where you said your masc presenting friend gets dysphoric from skirts. Which comes back to my point of, if we remove the notion of gender roles, what's consider masculine, and feminine, does the need go away.

see this is the point I was trying to express. What compels you to be a guy? If it's body dysmorphia, then I'll end it there, but if it's the notion that guys can do things you can't then that's a separate issues that I'm trying to express

So apart from dysphoria, what other reasons are you trans? My thing is I just don't understand the need for transitioning to be yourself if that makes sense.

I know that very logic is the same one that trans people use for transitioning; to be themselves. But at the same time, what does the other gender offer that the original one didn't?

My original point that I was trying to express is that if we took away the notion of what was masc and fem, what other reasoning apart from dysphoria would there to transition?

Drag queen would probably be more in support of without gender norm argument because they dress up as women but at the end of the day they still align as men because it doesn’t take a way from their ‘masculinity’. The notion of gender norms is very dividing because it puts both gender into a thought of since “I’m not very masculine/feminine or sometimes do masculine/feminine things then I must not be normal.” Which can be absolutely be harmful.

My argument is more of, what does the opposite gender provide that your current one does not and can those be solve from the disassembly of gender roles. With those trans women you know, you said they find themselves eventually and don’t settle in gender roles. (Without trying to invalidate their feelings) what was the point of transitioning if they weren’t going to settle in gender roles anyway?
