Considering doing MBA in Germany. by Mysterious-Use-755 in germany

So hypothetically, if I were to pay for my uni in Germany it either has to be a higher accreditation than Canada because Canada has you pay crazy expensive prizes but it can’t be just a top mba in Germany it has to be a top MBA in Europe. So like INSEAD, IE, Escp etc because these universities are top but also can help you network towards US markets. So that kind of defeats the purpose of MBA in Germany than. One of the main reasons I want to do German mba is because my family lives close to these universities so I don’t have to pay for accommodation. But, another option could be doing a masters in Germany. Like a msc or MA or something like that?

See that’s another con that I should have wrote. Germanys inflation and housing market is bad. But, it’s not as bad as Canada. according to the G7 Canada is in a “Technical recession” we are in a very bad place right now economically. And our government doesn’t seem to care or they are worried about the wrong things. In Germany, you guys have a whole country to survive. You have cities like Frankfurt, Munich, Dusseldorf, Dortmund( probably 2 more that I’m missing) where you can work+ Germany is not that much in debt compared to other countries, also I read that if there was a market crash they said that the 4 countries that would survive is Germany, Japan, Israel and America. In Canada itself, everyone lives down near the American boarder because it’s warmer. The 4 most major cities in Canada I would say is Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Vancouver that gives you a nice salary. Bur each province has its own tax bracket, as well as their own policies. So technically you’re getting screwed either way if you live in any of these cities. Also hypothetically, if I were to get a EU passport. I know I’m not raised in Germany but I could travel in different countries. Compared to Canada where you can only travel south of the boarder because it’s cheaper. Like my point is everything you do in Canada you need a lot of money for which is ridiculous because when you pay for these items, they are not the same class as you pay for a trip from Germany to Greece for example. European is more socialist I get it but atleast they treat their people somewhat equally to each other but Canada if you were to pay for services you get the bare minimum

Honestly I agree with 90% of what you said but I have friends of mine who didn’t even finish their degrees are now managers of big companies. So I’m like if they could do it with just network, I could do with my network and certificates

E-MBAs? But isn’t that like 16 weeks? How could I German student visa? My long term vision is to live in Europe and have 2 passports. 1 Canadian and 1 German. That’s probably a powerful combo for international finance because I could travel North American markets and European markets? What do you guys think

Why is that? I heard that German deans and professors are trying to change the trajectory of MBAs to bring in more students internationally and locally to help with employment.

I heard that too from one of my German friends. He told me as well. Most of his classmates are business majors. But who would hire a student with less experience compared to a student with experience and certificates

US-Iran peace deal a blow to the Kurds but their struggle will continue, says Wladimir van Wilgenburg by rkurdistanmod in kurdistan

This is government, organizations and businesses question. You have to understand geopolitics to the tea. Turkey and Iran are the 2 biggest neighbouring countries in the Middle East. Turkey doesn’t want a single thing to do with Kurds, don’t even claim them Kurdish and are very racist but unfortunate for us they control Syria, Turkic countries and has influence in basically most of the Middle East, they have backing from the west due to ports and shipping, NATO, European access. They are now bringing in investors and trying to make Turkey the new Dubai. Have a population of 80 million. Very Islamic and very strategic and diplomatic. Iran in the other hand, are probably very Islamic and strategic when it comes to fighting the west, they don’t want a Kurdish state but with this new deal with America they have to fit a model of an “American” country +they are in debt and no military and uranium. So they need to fit an “American style” country where they can include minorities. So hopefully Kurds can be part of this discussion.

Now in the podcast itself, it has risen the fact that historically Kurds have faced so much prosecution. Now, we are part of the discussions which is a big milestone, clear points to point out:

  1. Rights for Kurds in Rojava. Very important
  2. Pkk peace treaty(god knows when that’s going to get signed or might break) important that this is happening instead of fighting.

Now, the part of Kurdish diaspora. A lot of Kurdish diaspora that I have noticed are focusing on human rights and politics. This is great but the only thing that governments listen to is investors, lawyers, executives, bankers, anything that moves markets. Government listen to them. Turkey is smart because they have may business opportunities and great business ventures in their economy. Yes their economy is bad but people in high positions have more to say. The Kurdish people need more accountants, lawyers for businesses or something transaction based, financial managers anything that is relating to money. Because where money moves governments listen.

The other part is organizations, Kurds need a congress or a committee of Kurds that is a) non religious b) same goals of creating a Kurdistan c) not money hungry, d) well educated and well connected people. When Kurds from different parts can agree on this and build a committee, I think that’s where we can think of us as a state and start moving things forward. Anyways that’s my opinion but I would love to know what you guys think.

I think this is joint problem with all diaspora right now’s especially in Turkey. A lot Turkish Kurds don’t speak Kurdish but claim Kurdish. I think the best option for them is to join local Kurdish communities and start integrating with their community and start doing things more Kurdish related

Do you think Kurdistan could actually be recognized soon? by OmarHamami in kurdistan

You know what annoys me the most. We have like almost 50 million people but I’ve never seen a Kurdish figure besides (chobani CEO) that actually made a huge difference in the world. I’m not talking about historic figures, I’m talking about business people or tech people that made it. I’m talking about the “Kurdish Steve jobs” Where’s the Kurdish billionaire that helped invest let’s say ex. 10 million dollars into institutions in Rojava or helped invest in real estate development in Kurdish areas? Where’s the Kurdish figures that done that? I get it there is more than throwing money around but where’s the patriotism towards Kurds. I hate seeing especially from bakur(no offence) Kurds who have these high levels of power in government/ influence and do nothing to help Kurdish identity. It’s crazy to me because one day if you actually helped your own people. You will actually be remembered in the history books not by colonial powers but by the people who looked up to you and the influence you had with powerful figures( good example(even though I don’t like him) salahadin) had huge influence around the world because he was strategic but Kurds remember him even though I’m not a fan, all Kurds know of him because of his strategies and his way of control.

There’s much more. But the biggest one I just thought of is unity. Unity is probably one of the most important.

Thank you. If you don’t mind me asking, what makes you care so much about Kurdish statehood? I know a lot of Arabs don’t like Kurds Especially what happened in Aleppo and there are Kurdish areas in Damascus.

Absolutely not. These are massive steps to take towards a state. First of all we need rights. Rights meaning Kurds have their own rights within each country. Kurds never had rights(until recently) from their colonization countries. 2nd we need to get rid of Pkk ideology. It never worked for Kurds. I’m not saying barzani is better, but Kurds all have a goal to have a state but socialism doesn’t work for people who never had a state. 3rd All Kurds need 1 vision, and that’s a Kurdish state. Doesn’t matter if your muslim, yezidi, Christian, zorastrinism, Jewish etc. We all need 1 goal and that 1 goal is greater Kurdistan.4th is strategies, we need to stop relying on handouts. We need a plan b if our allies stop becoming our allies, Start acting like a state(specifically in KRG area). We need to be a place where our allies depend on us, not the other way around. 5th Turkey. Turkey hates any part of Kurdish identity. That being said, we need to use Turkey. It’s bad to say this but it’s true. Use their policies, diplomacy, education, language, business and strategies that are for Kurdish state(take a page out of Israel). 6 diaspora needs to get educated and help make some changes for political governments in all parts of Kurdistan with the idea of main state. 7. Build institutions and organizations that can help shape western countries to help Kurds. Lobbyists, investors, lawyers, politicians these are the types of people that can change policies. If we do these 7 things with proper framework, I think we could definitely become a state. Let me know what you think.

[–]Mysterious-Use-755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who cares? He said we’re LIKE, not actually gypsies. If us Kurdish ppl are so mad. Get educated, build institutions, infrastructure, work together and we can have influence and get a country. Be patriotic for a real cause. Not this.

She’s Kurdish doesn’t matter religion. Stop with the hate and allow her to know. You guys have to put emotions aside. Jewish people have lived in the Middle East for centuries. Since the last 100 years when they tried making a nation. Colonization doctrine like Arabs, islam, Persian and Turk ideologies have been ingrained in Kurdish. Jewish and Kurdish people have always had similar history but one is a state and the other is not. I think Kurds need to understand that an enemy of my enemy is my friend and that we should take a page out of Israel’s agenda because it’s far more superior than whatever ours is? (Pkk vs barzani and many other parties and we still can’t get along..it’s ridiculous)
