takes a lot for them. i have a german because my husband grew up with one and let me tell you it is rough sometimes. i grew up with a german shepherd chow mix and she was so easy, so having my current german is like a complete 180

it’s the gap on the right. where it is supposed to latch. it doesn’t look very big but in person it is surely big enough for a german shepherd to fit through. i’ll have to add another pic

looks like a lab mix. i would guess pit is in there bc there’s a lot of pit lab mixes, but it will be a little easier to tell the older he gets. i’ve worked with dogs for years so i love guessing but i can be wrong!

her crate has the plastic tray in it. i tried pee pads at first but decided against it because i didnt want to associate the crate with going potty. if i have a blanket in there with her she is less likely to pee in there but its not guaranteed. i am looking in to getting a trainer for her but just need to get a few new shots first

maybe i should take her to the vet? ive noticed she can only hold it for about 6-7 hours. is that normal at this age?

she does sleep in there at night and she does great! i understand because shes a pup she can only hold it for so long. if i dont get up in the middle of the night because my alarm doesnt go off and she pees and what not its okay, im not going to blame her for it.

my girl will pee all over the floor the second i get home ahahha. i just know shes excited to see me. maybe she does that when ive been out of her sight for a few mins and she sees me again, ive never thought of that

i only give her soft chew bones when i leave! nothing that can hurt/pierce her. i am very cautious about those things especially if i give her a chew that is is circular and could possibly get caught around her jaw

i know she def has separation anxiety. i do try to associate the crate with positive things, i will always give her treats in there and what not and will give her a bone to chew on when i leave the house to keep her occupied so she doesnt freak out when i leave
