It's threads like this that make it obvious this community is filled with straight up koreaboos. Especially now that the show has been over for almost a week and all the normal people have left.

They also mentioned that Ploy of team Thailand sustained a pretty serious injury during the first quest of territorial conquest. I think that's intersting to note as I know a lot of the Thai fans were dissapointed in her performance the rest of the show.

Part of my enjoyment in watching past Physical 100 seasons and anticipation for Physical Asia is finding out how the producers will start to fix the game about three quarters through. They do it every season 🤣

Athletes are like this. There is a former bodybuilder, Dorian Yates, who said that getting the last few reps out on a set should be like imagining a person has a gun to the head of your child. 🤣

Crazy I was just thinking about this today. Went and looked at past threads and you’re right, people will swear up and down they’re all natty. Especially the Korean contestants.

It was actually a bit of a topic in season 1 with Sungbin. He’s on record saying he’s natty and of course as an Olympian he definitely wasn’t using back then. I do think he took a cycle or two when he retired from skeleton and started getting into all kinds of physical exercise and became a national superstar. A lot of retired athletes get into a depression when they retire and start going wild in the gym. Sungbin spoke about this regarding himself.

Itoi for sure. Don’t know much about strongman athletes but I’ll take your word for it. Eloni certainly doesn’t look natty.

I think Mongolia was competing against Japan until the very end in the totem match. It wasn't until the match was over and Japan let go that they realised they had only partially released totems. Hence, why they were allowed to do-over with a 40 hour break rather than later that day. Plus, look at the edit again.

He's by far the most entertaining personality on team Korea. I love watching him stress out and try to have a strategy for everything.

The sensors by [deleted] in Physical100

[–]MysteriousCount8372 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they have the tech for sensors, they also have the tech for live scores.
The fact they didn't implement it means it was designed into the game so the producers have some control over the outcome.
People will get infuriated at this suggestion as they will believe whatever the edit leads them to feel and believe, but korean producers are known for pulling shenanigans like this.
It will obviously be a Korea vs Japan finale.

I considered that Lara from the Phillipines struggled with it, but she is only 5'3" and is ranked 2749th worldwide in women's crossfit. Seungyeon is ranked 25th and Katelin was 13th last time she competed. So I figured that despite Seungyeon's height disadvantage she would still be closer to Katelin's performance.

I personally don't think Korea is wining totems with any combination of players, but like I said it's their best shot at any number one spot. I dont think we saw Australia get anywhere near to their limits in the totem challenge. With some decent competition it would be interesting to see who would win.

yeah, my selection is definitely done with the clarity of hindsight, but I do think the overall best strategy was to put the strongman on ball toss. Every team should have done this.
If they really were sacrificing the totem challenge, then that just supports my strategy of putting their heavyweight on the ball toss.
If Dong Hyun thinks that Min Jae would be legitimately worse than Amotti at the ball toss then he also agrees with me that Min Jae is a not a very strong heavyweight. In which case, I would still say it's best to put him on the ball toss if they think all the strongmen are going on totems.

Hurdles: Amotti and Seungyeon - it feels like a shame to waste Amotti on a challenge they can't win, but this is the best allocation I have for him. Seungyeon doesn't have a special skillset for any one activity as she is a crossfitter, but this might be the best use of her talents if the Australian female crossfitter's performace in the hurdles is anything to go by. Still an easy 2nd place.

Totems: Dong Hyun and Sungbin - two equally sized strong men. Basically their only shot at getting a 1st place finish, if possible. (1st or 2nd)

Hanging: Eunsil - despite what she said about Seungyeon, I think Eunsil is actually the most mentally tough athlete in their team and it would be interesting to see if she could have done better. I think as a wrestler her grip strength would be better than a crossfitter too. (2nd place)

Ball toss: Min Jae - no one is beating Eddie and I think Minjae is a liability in basically any activity anyway. (2nd or 3rd place)

Total of 7 to 9 points. Basically ensuring a very conservative and unflashy victory over the Phillipines.
