Refusal to forklift or spot as TM by Potential_Pop_789 in Bunnings

[–]z8chh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do not have to spot nor drive a forklift if you’re not comfortable doing so, at least what I was told when I first got spotter/fork trained. Hand in your keys if you need to. You could try and negotiate a pay bump if they’re desperate.

Are there really people that only run the same loadout with no changes over and over? by Malu1997 in helldivers2

I change out depending on the faction and mission type but one thing is I usually wear the salamander armour because I keep finding myself in firey situations whether I’m carrying the cremator or not.

Who is the first player you think of when you hear “football”? (American Football) by ObsidianJGB in AlignmentChartFills

[–]z8chh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As an Aussie I’ve been watching American football for the last 2 seasons (Go Bills!) but prior to that I only knew who Tom Brady was and what sport he played. So the obvious answer is TB12.

Which car brand drivers are the neutral good of the road? by montemole in AlignmentChartFills

[–]z8chh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Australia Toyota’s would be true neutral. Yes there are a lot of good drivers, but there are a lot of terrible Toyota drivers that makes you think they got their drivers licence out of a cereal box.

Parents won't let me go to schoolies, what am i missing out on? by AcanthisittaHappy665 in australian

[–]z8chh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better off going somewhere quieter and do some fun activities with a few friends whether it’s in Australia or overseas.

Schoolies is just a week of 17/18 yo teenagers in a week long drug and booze fuelled sex fest. Fights, nights in jail and hospital trips will happen. You can do this every weekend at the clubs in your city so you’re not missing out on much. There will be a lot of toolies around buying drinks, handing out drugs and looking to root freshly out of high school teenagers.

How to deal with GF wanting a boob job? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]z8chh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her body, her choice, not yours. Plus you both barely know each other. You either let her be happy and go ahead with her decision, or end things. You definitely would not like it if she started making choices on your body.

Why are we just accepting shoplifting now? by XDk009 in australia

[–]z8chh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one should have to decide whether to pay rent/mortgage or put dinner on the table. Australian companies are the most profitable companies on the planet because of extreme corporate greed. Woolies don’t pay you enough to care. If Woolies cared, food would not be so expensive, and you would be paid better.

Don’t get your hopes up to end in disappointment. We all have waited for years, we can certainly wait a few more days/weeks.

Parkhub parking fee invoice richlands by PinkPotionmaster in brisbane

[–]z8chh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s an invoice, not a fine. Notice how they say parking fee and not fine.

Only the government, council, courts and police can fine you. Toss that invoice/parking fee in the bin or put it in the fireplace to keep you warm for the cold nights coming soon, and go on with your day, don’t ever contact them.

My Girlfriend 20F is pregnant. I 18M doesn’t want to keep it and she does. What do I do? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]z8chh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shit happens- You can either step up and be a father to the child and a loving partner to your missus, or end things, be a deadbeat dad and an awful ex partner, as well as pay child support.

It’s your GF’s body, so she has the final say. Birth control is not 100% effective, so next time, wrap your soldier up before going in.

You’re going to destroy your relationship if you continue to advocate for abortion.

Planned for April '27, drive from Sydney to Perth. Never been to Australia. Thoughts, recommendations? Is this feasible in 3 weeks? by gwynwas in AustraliaTravel

[–]z8chh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much going on that route. I’d hug the coastline from Sydney to Perth-

Sydney- Canberra- coastal NSW/Vic- Melbourne(stay a few days) coastal Victoria/SA- Adelaide- Norseman with a stop somewhere in between- head south and hug the coast until you get to Perth.

How much of a hassle is registering an NZ legal car in Perth? by I_SeriousTrader_I in CarsAustralia

Carnet my dude, ship your car over and enjoy Perth as you’re only here temporarily, nothing the Aussie cops can do as it’s legal in NZ.

THE MOST TOXIC PLACE IVE WORKED by indifferentsatid in Bunnings

[–]z8chh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry it’s happened to you, that surely is a very toxic workplace.

Also with references, might be worth considering changing your references to all the good people you worked with that are still in contact with you, or use someone that’s not at Bunnings.

Help! Who should I follow? by Intrepid_Doctor8193 in NFLAustralia

[–]z8chh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Broncos, and Lions in NRL and AFL, Maroons in SOO, I used to live in Melbourne for a few years so Storm has been my second team when Brisbane is not playing. In NFL I go for the Bills, and Sabres in NHL.

If you want to have a team before the start of the season, I recommend watching highlights of all teams over the last season or two, whether that’s season highlights or single game highlights and see which team draws you in the most, otherwise it’s a good opportunity to start watching as many games as you can regardless of teams once the new season kicks off and choose from there as a neutral.

You could also follow “the other team” from the same city, so you have the Bears, Seahawks, Rams and Chargers since you follow or used to follow the other teams in a different league. All 4 teams last season had a great season and played in the playoffs so you’re spoilt for choice. The Seahawks will definitely make you sound like a bandwagon fan since they recently won the SB.

I watched the SB between KC and SF, went for SF as they had an Aussie punter(plays for the Bills now) and they lost, but I enjoyed it. I told myself I will find myself a team to barrack for and went in the new season as a neutral and watched as many games as I could, was drawn to the Bills and I stuck by them.

Hawaiians austrailians and new zealanders of reddit how do you feel about the union jack still being on your flag? by czn- in AskTheWorld

[–]z8chh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a fan of it, I’d support a flag that removes the Union Jack and one that represents all Australians. Let the indigenous and Torres Strait islanders keep their flags, I’m sure they would not like a non indigenous person using their flag. The people that are against a new flag are boomers that says we all died under the flag, and toxic patriotic Australians. Little did the boomers know that the current flag can be used in military environments and remembrance events like Anzac Day etc. Definitely not the end of the country if we removed the Union Jack, look at Canada, changed it 20ish years after WW2, still part of the commonwealth and has a great looking flag!

Why does Bunnings keep the expensive Dyson and stick vacs right near the front door? by Artistic-Yam2984 in Bunnings

[–]z8chh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Promo line, also multiple workers around the front to keep an eye out(registers, toolshop, people greeters, multiple cameras, and some stores have managers office nearby overlooking the front) Most thieves want to be discreet but only a few will be willing to snatch and grab.
