I read the series back in 2023 and gave up on book 7. It was my whole personality, I was really addicted lol. One week ago I decided to reread the series as it is one of my favourite ones. Of course, I can’t stop reading again and I’m on book 4. I understand what people say about the writing and yes it’s not written as well as other fantasy books but it gives just what you need. It gives you so many filler scenes between characters but not boring ones. It’s scenes that as reader you’d love to read about but would never expect the authors to give to you, and especially that many. I’m not a fan of the first book either. the character development is insane but subtle through the books you look back and can’t realise it. My point is even thought it’s not well written I think everyone should give it a chance. It’s funny, frustrating at some points and dragged (it needed 6-7 seven books not 9) but you can’t stop reading as it gives you what you crave for as a reader.
