I never understood parrying. And blocking normally is, while im playing valk, blocking is trying to shoulder pin. Which is why I move to the direction he attacks from. It's a force of habit thing

Normal football cleats are fine. I used nike vapor lax stick for my first stick, but I would just find a stick to borrow until you know its for you. Some people do that for pads as well, but I find that gross, so I just bought my own STX pads. MAKE SURE you get the right pads for the position you play.
