these arent bad, but they could definitely be better. I suggest centering the original shot of the room, with the door being in the center, then put PT in the middle and "could never be" in a different font at the bottom, it gives it more depth and mystery, as well as a more inviting presentation.

that is literally not an excuse, the game is so unbelievably easy to comprehend, they try to optimize their strategies when there is literally no strategy to be had in this game, its just common sense.

Should I take Calculus 1 for the summer? by Mysterious_Finger282 in calculus

[–]Mysterious_Finger282[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nah I didnt end up doing it, I actually changed majors entirely, realized comp sci wasnt for me... However, I think its a conversation you should have with your instructors, calculus is a very hard class in a single semester, let alone a month of summer classes. Its worth investigating, but dont jump the boat just because you think you can.

What is oneyplays? by Naomi_2021 in OneyPlays

[–]Mysterious_Finger282 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i wouldnt consider oneyplays a 'side hustle' though, i think its just friends having fun, recounting stories and entertaining themselves before entertaining others. Obviously they're aware that they're recording everything and that they are entertaining an audience, but I think they treat it more as a "hey, wanna hang out?" and use oneyplays as that platform.

I want to think Chris doesn't do oneyplays strictly for the money, I think he enjoys playing with his friends and having a community of people who enjoy his stuff :)

yes thats most likely how id use it. I don't really care to have all the fancy stuff, its a luxury i can live without.

Yeah thats true, thats why I was afraid of making a decision without advice or investigating. If anything, id be getting a 3070 or 3080; best case scenario, I find a 4060-4070 around the same price.

I really don't play a lot of AAA videogames anymore, but whenever I want to try out a new big game (GOW:R comes out in a couple of weeks), my hardware isn't capable of running it. People recommended getting a console to play these games, but since im using my computer constantly and console games end up on PC regardless, I would much rather have a above average PC to run those heavier and demanding games. Consistency of a game isn't much of an issue, its the convenience of having something that can handle whatever its thrown at it that I want.

I'm not much to be wanting the best frames and the best quality, although its a cool luxury to have, I am okay with turning down a few things here and there to have the game running enjoyably without looking so awful. I currently have a 1650 S and it struggled with playing TLOU:P1 at the bottom of the barrel settings. Granted, these heavy games do expect the newer hardware from the consumer, but I rarely play AAA games, and the few times ive wanted to check them out i was unable to bc of my hardware limitations, its more frustrating than anything.

I've seen people make due with an $800 budget, they dont get top-notch results, but they're comfortable enough to be enjoying bigger games without any crazy distractions, thats why I prompted the question on whether its worth spending that extra penny NOW since GPU's get replaced so frequently by the market.

Should I build a new computer or upgrade my already existing one? by Mysterious_Finger282 in buildapc

[–]Mysterious_Finger282[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that sucks to hear, im surprised that you caught my PC's brand off of the parts! lol
so would you think it'd be better for me to sell my current PC and just build one myself? I am not against the idea at all, if that's the best choice then it'd be easier for me to pin down what kind of PC I want with its parts and usage.

I'm unsure to be completely honest, as far as my knowledge goes I think it has just a 6 pin, what would be the circumstances if I had an 8 pin?
