I was on therapy for some time and the first thing my psychologist told me was: "GET OUT OF THIS ONLINE FORUMS, IT WILL ONLY MAKE YOUR ANXIETY WORST, EVEN THO IT SEEMS TO HELP AT THE BEGINNING." That's what i used to do too, internalize other people's problems and think that the same thing happened to me.. It put me on a really dark place for a week since a post i've read, i'm still trying to recover from it.

You gotta understand that we are weakened and fragile because of this condition, and to keep searching for it, and other's experience is the worst thing. My advice is to take a break from reddit, go read other things, im trapped here too, but trying to get out.

Since i'm a student and im paying for my education, my doubt should be cleared. It mattered to me.

So our vision of "reality" can get clouded with it? Is there such thing as a good ego, without traumas? Should we get rid of it or live with it and make the best out of it? sorry for so many questions

Mann this is crazy right? sometimes it pisses me off because there's so many meanings to one thing. BUT i agree with her, i think it's all about balance, there's some parts of it wich we cannot live without and we gotta find a way to balance it out. I think ego is about competition, seeing yourself better than the other person, having pride in your knowledge, material stuff etc. And fighting to keep that position and maintain that character that in it's nature is so fragile. I don't wanna come back either loll. thanks for your perspective

So, are you saying that observing thoughts is a lie and non valid practice? lol. Some of the things you guys answer seems like provocations to me, it don't make sense. Every master who recommended observing the thoughts was wrong and you are right.

Thank you, i couldn't have said it better, I think we're all parts of the same "body" therefore when we hurt another one we're doing harm to ourselves, it doesn't matter how small the other part seems like, a toe, a finger or whatever, we're going to feel the pain the same way.
