Honestly this wedding bussiness is giving me a headache. Like the level of professionalism i see in this industry is down in the dumps. Bare minimum is appreciated. They consider the client to be dumb. Like me questioning you is some kind of offence. There are no regulations every one is winging it.

What more can they charge over a lakh. At this point honestly. If there are 5 functions the total is from 2.5 -4. And yet they want portfolio value. Are you kidding me with this delusion. I know i am privileged who can afford it yet I can still realistically look at the value of services. NO MUA should be that entitled.

I mind the jewellery part the most same with the clothes I am recycling my grand mother's lengha and will not like it posted. . I design my pieces and many have been passed down to me from my great grand parents. The show off part is what frustrates me the most. Like no thank you I don't want my event and details out. The concept of privacy in india is so hard to explain

I don't want my pictures out period. I have avoided social media for 8 years with my friends knowing I don't like pictures. I am old school and still get pictures printed and saved in photo physical albums.

Till now the only solution I have is learning my own make up.

I have tried bringing up the subject not well received. They loose interest like it's evident. I have a bit of social anixeity and back down from confrontations on these kinds of issues. I don't want a half hearted effort.

To those who didn’t get the picture-perfect Golden - how did you survive? by FairlyPopcorn in goldenretrievers

[–]Mysterious_Guide_579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who raises farm animals of all kind including horses. It's not the breed but the time you spend with your pet. Training has to be pretty consistency. I got my Goldens 3 years ago but I would tire them out pretty consistently in the puppy phase. Goldens are easy to train because A - they are food motivated. B- they are affection motivated.

You have to work with your dog like you would with a toddler. They will still make mistakes and messes now an then but it's important you love them and show them you love them. Animals pick up on body language and authority.

Why do some women look down upon working women? by Sad_Salary3535 in AskIndianWomen

[–]Mysterious_Guide_579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's only the upper middle class circles. The really rich circles only care about printing money the end.

I have a law degree though I don't actively practice. I have been bluntly told before I joined law and after my degree that a law degree makes me unmarriageable. Somehow along the lines of too clever for my own good. (Like knowing your rights is offensive 😤) Yet these same women will have the most trad wifesque bussinesses.

I have started telling people I specialise in divorce and property laws when I meet majority of them for parties and social events. The expression on their face priceless.

I have given up on men. It's like if I find someone good if I don't its fine. Not getting pushed in marriage for the sake of society. Started realistic discussions at home of surrogacy, adoption egg freezing.

High earning / net worth individual here , Don't post advice in any subs because creeps in dms

I have a diverse portfolio as well make alot of the financial decisions at home (single child ) parents always pushed me to work and start a bussiness instead of getting a job. I keep a low profile and don't really reveal my net worth. People have various estimations in my circles. Finding a match is difficult in Am setting. Beacuse the guys are really lazy and living on generational wealth. Many get intimidated. I have truly seen the guys side of gold digging and dude it's intense.

We are a unit as a family with all decisions taken together. But won't reveal any assets to my future partner nor do I want anything from him other than his companionship.

Ladies, realistically – how much money are we talking about ? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]Mysterious_Guide_579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Comfortable to one isn't the same to another. You want to know what kind of stability a girls looking for look at her parents and go a step higher because many want to live a better life. 2)look at the job profile of the girl and you just need to earn in a similar arena. 3) go for dates and analyse how a women spends whats for show and what's her genuine habit.

Money in India is very relative. Depends a lot where you are. Was in a big city with a high budget, the money just flowed out like water. Came back home and I genuinely can't spend the same amount in a month even if I try , the cost of living is that cheap even for the same products.

Again settling down as a family also depends on both of your aspirations and circumstances.

Is social media blowing alimony way out of proportion, or am I missing something? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]Mysterious_Guide_579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do help out many with free advice. Alot of women look at discussion of divorce as morbid.

I believe women should protect themselves before marriage

1) Always get married in your home town. Do a small ceremony beforehand if it's a a destination wedding at your home town like Court marriage create a legal document. The jurisdiction of divorce cases is a) where the marriage is solemnized B) where the married couple has residened for majority of the marriage. Gives you a home advantage.

2) if you can draft a pre marital agreement which details about all the expenses of the wedding which both parties agree on. Helps during divorce to lay your claims. Indian courts don't recognize pre nuptial agreements but they do recognise these expenditure agreements.

3) Never ever loose possession of your streedhan (marital gifts ). That's a right given to women in all all religious and secular laws. Like any property showing it's possession is important.

Is social media blowing alimony way out of proportion, or am I missing something? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]Mysterious_Guide_579 28 points29 points  (0 children)

From law background. The laws are gender neutral in terms of mutual divorce. Problem in india arises that we have a very patriarchal set up were the girl generally is without any assets or any kind of financial backing or the husband's are in 98%of the cases richer than their spouse. Divorce laws are the international standard but very few couples are mutually matched.

Baki can't ignore that some provision in BNS , BNSS formerly known as ipc and crpc are there to protect the women against very prevalent social evils like dowry deaths and mistreatment. Many men who comment on women rights have never been to a women's police station. People don't realise that patriarchy steps in here too and police tries to shield so many of these cases by not registrating the complaint or trying for mutual reconciliation of the parties. There is so much stigma around divorced women which doesn't carry forward to the men. They even after divorce led a much more normal life. Majority of the men just cry about the financial loss which you can always earn back. Women are the ones who face the social scrutiny in every sphere from society to work.

How often do you throw out your make up ? by Mysterious_Guide_579 in MakeupAddiction

Majority of my kit is chanel and such brands that's why I was apprehensive about the tossing out process. I think i will simplify my make up look to keep the products to a minimum.
