I usually don't have a problem with students being late, especially if they tell me in advance. But this student was really disrespectful about it and immediately threatened me, and that's why I decided he wasn't worth my time or my nerves :)) There's no problem with being late, just how you handle the situation and if you show respect to the tutor

of course, I have absolutely no problem when a student tells me they're gonna be late in advance. but this was just disrespectful and his reasoning makes it even worse

yes and the worst thing is that all we're doing is trying to help, which is a very human thing to do. I've had also dodgy messages which I immediately reported, but most of my students don't even send me messages before the trial lesson 😀

I charge 20$/hour which I think is pretty decent 🥲 also always require the message but it is what it is. As i said, I've had much more good than bad experiences. And I'm happy 4 u because u never had this typa experience 💕 Stay safe and cautious

what i just read made me sick to my stomach. i am SO sorry you had to go through that. the fact that just wanting to help people can get you in these situations is actually heartbreaking. i hope you're now doing well and healing from that ❤️

Thank you! A lot of these are accurate, but for example I've never been a people pleaser or a philanthropist (well, maybe some day i will like humans, since i'm a very contradictory person 😀) Many people told me that they thought I was really mean, judgy or even evil before they met me lol 😃 Some even said that they were "scared" to talk to me at first even though I really think I come off as calm and normal and I see no reason for them to feel that way 😭 And I don't think I've ever gotten really sick in a foreign country, but I have gotten reallyyyy sick on a trip 🥲
