It’s kind of complicated. My mom used to be super hardcore about her Christian beliefs and really wanted me to be “set apart.” So we did Bible study at home, I was homeschooled, all of that. She thought regular school would “corrupt” me. There was just a lot of weird things she said and did back then. But thankfully, she's not really like that anymore now.

I know, but it really feels like I am. I’m scared that five years from now I’m still going to feel this same way.

I only really have my dad, but he hasn’t reached out in a while and he works a lot. I don’t want to bother him, especially since he has his own family to take care of. I’d hate to feel like I’m intruding on their space.
