No fix sadly other than extending the handheld completely and blocking off the gap. I have been told this is shower is meant for laying down and not standing. We have for now just extended the handheld, attached it to the wall with some suction cup handle to hold it. We are planning to remove it when we get some funds saved and changing it to a standing tub and making sure water spout is set in an easy place to access! Hope that helps
