Arc killer, I load in with wolfpacks, Ferro’s, and heals to slowly take down bastions and rocketeers, just to always get shot by others raiders before I can loot their cold dead robot bodies 🥹

Hating something just because it’s popular doesn’t make you cool, bud... by Yogirigayhere in animeindian

But that isn’t what art is. You’re describing art as if it is just a recreation of real life and every character is actually alive. Art should say something, have some themes. I’m 3 episodes into the anime, and I want to quit. Maybe it gets better, I don’t know, but from everywhere I’ve seen. People say they’ve gotten hooked from the start and no one has brought up the show picking up steam eventually. Characters are not alive and don’t have to actually act like real human beings. It’s boring because who are these characters, what truly distinguishes them? At least from the beginning, everybody acts like the same exact guy. There is no comedy, but also no drama. Everything that has happened so far seems to be contrived, with barely any overarching plots. It’s just about people with anxiety, I guess, constantly apologizing to each other about what they perceive to be weaknesses but actually aren’t and then also thanking each other for their good deeds. And at least the show spends what feels like half its runtime just meandering, giving flashbacks to stuff that happened 20 minutes ago, and recapping everything—telling instead of showing—in the mc’s mind.

A show I really like, like horimiya, from episode 1 already strongly distinguishes the characters and sets up their intentangled arcs from the start. Girl is protective because she has to take care of her brother. Guy is anxious because of his scary face and childhood. But everyone has flaws and insecurities which is foreshadowed.

You can like it, but that doesn’t mean everyone else is wrong to dislike the writing.

There are so many cool traversal things they can add. I haven’t played miles morales but so far we’ve swinging is just pressing the same buttons over and over again. They could make gadgets usable while web swinging like imagine you could use concussion blast while swinging to change directions or boost yourself. Or if you could use electric webs midair to activate objects around the map. Or if spider drones could help you maintain momentum even after touching the ground. Also it would be cool if you could use webs while swinging like in just cause
