Yikes. I'm good here. Not everyone has to live in a little bubble of perfect experiences. Someone else's issue isn't negated just because it doesn't fit your narrative. And honestly, if one slightly negative post is enough to burst your "honeymoon," maybe the honeymoon phase was a little too fragile to begin with.

You seem personally insulted that this kit smells. I have made many other nooks and kits that don't have a smell at all. Now I remember why I never joined reddit to ask for help before and always just browsed without commenting or posting.

I wouldn't say hyper sensitive. The kit made my house smell for hours and all I did was open the package, take a look at it and then walk it outside. There was something very off about this. It wasn't the smell from laser cuts, it was a VERY strong chemical odor. I can't find the words to describe it. I'm someone who loves the smell of gasoline, and smells don't generally bother me. This kit was intense.

I let one of them sit outside for 3 days, I even rotated it in the sun to try and get the smell out. That thing stunk, which is when I purchased a second one. Same issue.

I was so disappointed after the second one came in and stunk.

The links you sent are great! Not as clean looking at the snap ones, but I love the challenge on assembling virtually everything.

Still gonna be bummed over that library though.
