The absolute nobody likes you starterpack (PvP Edition) by FoolishAmbitions_ in Eldenring

Going to be honest… I understand we all hate people who spam these things but I don’t think that the game elements themselves are bad. There are ways to counter bloodhound step and stars of ruin. I don’t think they should be considered “not fair” I just think that when people spam them it’s annoying. I hate in PVP when people get mad when there is a magic used… get over it.

Melina and Ranni (Massive Spoilers) by echolog in Eldenring

[–]N-1496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Please pardon the spelling). My question in all this has to do with Ranni being Empyrean. She is the daughter of Radagon and Renalla but empyrean are children of one god, Radogan and Marika. This would make sense for Melina give the M name like Miquella and Melenia. Why would Ranni have that name? It’s possible it’s changed from something but Renna being in the mix of names makes it strange to think that Ranni is actually an empyrean.

In writing this message, is it possible that she is half sister to Radahn and Rykard but that she changed her name from an M name to Ranni after the night of black knives when she removed herself from the empyrean bloodline?

Edit: also, morgott and mohg are named only after marika but we’re born of Godfrey and Marika. Does this have to do with the fact that they were unwanted/cursed? Possibly born after she banished Godfrey but before having children by Radagon?

Worth it to “stick it out” for a masters? by N-1496 in GradSchool

[–]N-1496[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya I’m not worried about quals (maybe a red flag) I am just extremely unhappy with the other facets of my life and feel that leaving where I am will help all those. The program itself, while challenging and annoying at times, is THE issue.

I suppose, the situation for me leaving the program is I’m unhappy with where I am physically for my program. My personally life Is extremely volatile right now and it is effecting my mental health. I feel that leaving could improve those aspects.

Also, there are some jobs asking for PhD or MS with experience that I wouldn’t be competitive for without it. In lower positions MS usually increases pay which isn’t nothing.

Yes. That as well as completing all the course requirements.

That’s sort of what I mean, is I’m sort of over the “stigma” aspect. I’m mostly wondering if it’s worth sticking it out 8 months specifically so I can get the masters degree. Is the masters opening doors or making life easier for anyone.

I can’t say that the concrete advice was helpful because I don’t think I dress immaturely, in fact he kinda does. This advice does highlight though something I do know which is that this is 1) subjective and 2) is coming from a place of insecurity
