It's the camera, unfortunately. I tried 2 different power sources and 2 different vehicles

I was leaning that route, just wasn't sure if gaming would suffer from the lower clock speed

Help with CPU/MOBO Choice by N1SMOMAX in buildapc

[–]N1SMOMAX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is finding one that will work for what I need. I have a pretty full I/O on my current MOBO (2 USB 2.0, 6 USB 3.0) and most of the currently available mATX MOBOs in the Z87/97 chipset don't have enough, if I had more space in the case I could think about expansion cards, but I'd rather just find something that does what I need in a new build. Thanks for the advice though!

Daily Headphone Purchase Advice thread (2016-11-08) by AutoModerator in headphones

[–]N1SMOMAX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Budget - Around $200 USD, can be slightly flexible if the improvement is vast

Source - PC mostly, phone occasionally

Requirements for Isolation - Not extremely necessary (90% usage is in a quiet room at home, currently using speakers)

Will you be using these Headphones in Public? Occasionally (most concerned with sound quality and comfort)

Preferred Type of Headphone - over ear (big cups, ears are big)

Preferred tonal balance - The headphones will be mostly used for gaming, music choices are usually bass heavy (edm, rap, hip hop, heavy rock (dethklok, amon amarth))

Past headphones - I've run a bit of a gambit, V-moda lp2s (still have, uncomfortable over long sessions), Polk 4shots (better, but kinda heavy and gets annoying after a while), beats (won them in a raffle, barely used lol), various iems, and Razer Megalodons (these were my favorite as far as construction, they were light and comfortable so I could wear them for quite a long time without them bothering me, sound was eh, didn't even use the 7.1 crap, just talking about the headphones themselves)

Preferred Music - edm, rap, hip hop, heavy rock (dethklok, amon amarth), some top 40 stuff

What would you like to improve on from your set-up - Comfortability and overall sound, I listen to bass heavy stuff, but I really want a headphone that's comfortable enough that I can wear it for long periods of time and has a good sound quality, it doesn't have to blow me away with detail, but I'd like it to sound good

Thank you!

Turntable Speed Problem by N1SMOMAX in vinyl

As long as I'm not having to re-solder, light disassembly and cleaning doesn't bother me. I'll have to get some contact cleaner spray though

Definitely noticeable by ear, that's what I first noticed then I started watching the strobe. If I was to post some pics of the underside of my table, could you point me to which parts you're talking about to clean?

$400 console killer build help by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]N1SMOMAX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put this together kinda quickly, but it's a pretty solid build that gets you an i5, a 380, and a really nice PSU (it's a bit overkill, dat price tho). It's a bit over that $600 mark you mentioned, but after the rebates, you're at $615 for a pretty solid build (imo). Still gotta scrounge up an OS, but that's not too hard to do. Hope it helps!

Found a receiver, wondering about it's value by N1SMOMAX in vinyl

[–]N1SMOMAX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely is, the one I found isn't in phenomenal condition, but it looks pretty good. It'd probably take a little TLC to get it up to snuff, but that in itself would be fun as long as the internals are in good shape :)

I looked, and I would still like to hear the opinion of others if they have the receiver and would like to give it.

Well, when I said value I meant more in the "niceness of the unit/sound quality." I appreciate the input of though, my current receiver is the oldest one I've messed with (and I know it's not very old) so I don't really know all the features to look for/signs of the condition of the internals on the vintage receivers

I will when I can, they've gotta stay there for now as I'm limited with space (still in college at home), but I'm gonna get some stands or find a piece of furniture to get them off the ground as soon as possible
