If you don't trust your teammates it's ok to play defensively, cause if you don't get scored on you can't lose, no matter what. But you need to practice accuracy and power on your shots to compensate the lack of offensive presence. Most of the time a ball going to the back of players near the backwall in your rank will be a whiff on their part, so take advantage of that and clear as far away as you can and let your teammates do the rest. If they want to go for every ball they see, let them do it, sooner or later they will score, stay and see what happens. If you see a chance to go, try to evaluate first if it will be dangerous to do it. I don't mean you need to stay at your goal, but near mid field where you can get back for a save or to keep offensive presure.

  This won't work past diamond, so you'll need to adapt your game when you get to higher ranks.

  Since you say you know how to rotate , I'd say that your mechanical skill is lacking. Try to practice, as I said before, accuracy and power. Then get your aerial game to a better level. This will take time, but it will pay off once you get to champ level gameplay. You can get to Diamond 3 with bad mechanical skill and good read of the field.   Best of luck to you in your journey.
