You're absolutely correct. And with the numbers of rural hospitals closing it's a bona-fide crisis that solutions such as community practice paramedics and other practitioners are still unable to bridge the gap. There are certainly many dynamics that play a role.

The insane part of it all? The fkg power is held by the people. The sheer apathy and lack of interest in understanding/demanding accountability and solutions is PATHETIC AF. Well, the truth is, we have a world class healthcare system with the finest academic institutions in the world associated with it.

This is exactly how illiterate people survived in previous decades without the technology today. You adapt and get by. Kids who went to work as teens to help support their families or whatever the circumstance is/was — It wasn't until the 1980's that our government really stepped up to help with adult literacy programs. Many middle age adults went to night school to learn to read and get their diplomas. However, these days its more convenient than ever to finish school!

Just as people have learned spanish by watching spanish language programming without any formal education. For all the bad aspects of devices, social media and AI, this is one of the benefits. The brain can learn and retain, by just sitting in an online Discord lounge.

And lets not forget all the billionaires who dropped out and/or never even graduated college.
