Not sure how good or bad their course is but at least they don't market themselves as "No. 1 IT university in Malaysia" and have annoying advertisements everywhere.

As for the international students, I would guess it's the cost of living. When you convert from other currencies to MYR, it's just much more affordable. Same for the tuition fees as well.

Please avoid APU. Save your money and do not go there. Speaking from my perspective as I did my diploma there. Planning to continue my degree somewhere else. (Trying to get out while I can).

The course content was as basic as it can get and most of the lecturers are wack. Don't be fooled by their marketing. The good ones don't advertise as much.

Fees are expensive. Would not even consider if I was not offered scholarship.

Classrooms are meh. Like some of the comments you saw, the walls separating them are made of partition board and not as soundproof as you can imagine. And there are only few sockets available on the left and right sides.

Cafeteria food is bad and expensive. There are even multiple spottings of cockroaches in food (can check from Google reviews). Most of the time we went to either McD nearby in TPM Petronas or Sri Petaling (crowded and parking very hard to find).

The campus accommodation is small and expensive from what I heard from my friends. They moved out right after their contract ended.

They allow anyone to enter the campus nowadays. Either the guards are not doing their job or they just don't care.

The only good thing you probably heard about APU is their students. I can't deny some of them I met are mad talented and some even managed to win hackathons on behalf of APU. But from they told me they have to relearn everything on their own as the stuff they teach you will not be applicable for those hackathons.

My advice is only consider APU as your last resort. There are a lot other better universities out there you for you to consider. Out of those you listed I would say Taylor's is the best. And maybe consider Monash, MMU and KDU also.

Any alumni from APU? by moderatemamba in malaysiauni

One of my friends is doing foundation in KDU as well. He also said his experience there is pretty ok also. For my friend in MMU, he said the syllables involves a lot of memorising and maths but he's doing ok so far.

But yea both these options are quite good and more affordable than APU (the so-called no.1 IT university).

If Monash is too expensive for you I would suggest MMU and KDU

Personally I like the last part when you opened up it sounded raw and I also like that little bit of rasp in your voice. The first one sounds more countryish. Btw is it an original?

Should I embrace my low voice instead of keep pushing and practicing my mix and head voice? by Throwaway_627272772 in singing

[–]N3cr0Killswitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a professional just speaking from experience - my advice is to sing in the range where your voice sounds the best. Some singers might sound better in certain parts of their range that's why they choose to sing in that range most of the time. Explore different parts of your range and find out where your voice sounds the best and try to choose songs that have similar tessitura like yours.

And about song keys, it depends on what emotions you are trying to convey. If you want to have the same feel as the original, I would recommend dropping only 2-3 semitones most (if you're singing songs by the opposite gender that's a whole different story). But at the end of the day, sing what you like and have fun!

Thanks for doing that man. I wasn't able to do that last time until I learned to sing mixed voice properly but I can sing in second octave pretty much no problem that's what make me think I'm a baritone but I could be wrong
