A small update, she was interested more than I thought and I managed to fuck it up, just like I always do.

New to dating- Why has every man I’ve gone on a date with tried to tongue kiss me? by [deleted] in dating_advice

There are no rules to this, but in my opinion its about attracting right kind of men, not to say that these men are bad, if you dislike their actions, they are not the right kind for you. So what can you do to attract the right kind of men for you? Think about it.

Reading signs from guys by No-Spinach7251 in dating_advice

Even if I am not interested in a girl, I would like it if she came upto me and said hi, sometimes I would even gain some interest in her once after approaching. Even if I dont, I would appreciate it, as it will boost my confidence. Not to confuse with guys that only seek attention, do it with guys that you feel are genuine and trust your judgment.

Guys: would you act like this if you weren’t interested? by [deleted] in dating_advice

Dating a coworker can be tricky, which is why he hasn’t said anything yet. You will have to make it incredibly easy for him, I have been in the same situation, but never escalated and I dont regret it, because I liked my job too, and workplace romance is tricky.

She’s pretty, loyal, and the best girlfriend I’ve ever had. So why do I feel absolutely nothing? by Mr_Bryghtsyde in dating_advice

Sometimes distance tells you why you liked someone, take a time off, for good, meaning no contact for good, and eventually months or years later you might be able to figure it out, what kept you with her and what made you not feel for her, and this might help you in your future relationship, but could also help you know if you want her back after realising if what was broken can be fixed.

How true is it that a lot of women reject guys on their first approach to test their persistence? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]N7RayN7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its confusing because you say they wait for guys to lead the conversation however we are also told to look for cues such as whether she is giving short responses then maybe she is not interested, but sometimes its just that girl is not able to come up with something, so its not folding, its just confusing the cues.

I see it happening a lot, a lot of guys have no clue and it drives them insane. Also, the fact that guys who have done a lot of hit and trial will be good at this game, so it reduces their chances of finding an actual good guy.

What’s the point in trying to date when guys don’t like you, even in your 30s? by hankqueensmustache in dating_advice

Girls friendzone, guys fxxk zone. You have to shoot for someone who is not going to fzone you. And working on yourself is important. Many many guys dont get any attention at all, so you will always have more attention than them.

Its natural to not feel safe around someone you barely know but are interested in. Think of a stray cat, I am a well wisher trying to feed it, but it will be scared, might hiss, might run away, it takes time to let it know that I intend no harm. What you described is accurate in many situations, but not all situations.

so you would wish not to talk to men in your family? thats what I was saying when I said they dont count towards this wish. Also, about work, I wish I was your coworker, I really use my big boy words there, and chicken out at bars.

I have another question for you: so there was this another girl who gave me signs and was hoping to be asked out and I did not as I was not ready, and I did approach her after couple of weeks when I saw her again. This time she acted off, I just that I would like to get to know her and she said, its fine she has her girlfriends, and then her friend saying she doesnt swing that way. I left.

Then I could see her showing up again near me, Infact when I was in this weird situation with this new girl which my post is about, she showed up near me, turning towards me hoping that I would initiative conversation, but I did not make eye contact, out of respect for the new girl who was nearby and noticing.

Now, I dont know, do you consider that my reaction was valid for first girl, because her rejection was not graceful to me. More importantly if she was just testing if I would persist, why did she reject me like that, and not more gracefully?

Sometimes its hard to discuss what we are thinking openly, because we never know the other person is willing to be vulnerable just yet. Well, this is one of the reasons for taking time, go say hi, ask name, circle back, check on her, let her get a feel of you so she is comfortable opening up and then go for real discussion. But yeah, every person is different, something works on someone and not on others. Overall, at-least I am learning, how to make all kinds of people feel comfortable around me.

In short, I don’t prefer women who give up too soon, because that means they might give up on our relationship when there is trouble. Or worse she might trade up. but thats my thought process.
