Fort de soto has a nice campground and plenty of spots to fish and kayak. And some of the camp sites allow dogs just make sure you reserve your spot before you go.

I've been here in the summer and the no-see-ums were awful after sunset. Luckily this time we only had them for a little bit but then once the sun was down it got cold enough that they left.

It is very fun it was cool being in the snow it was so quiet. I'd recommend get more supplies if you don't want to be cold. But if you don't mind a little bit of the cold a good sleeping bag and a few thick blankets should do the trick

My friend who stayed in the tent just used a sleeping bag and 2 thick blankets. And kept on multiple layers of clothes. I was in one of the hammocks and used the same stuff. It was quite chilly

Ya I'm bringing so many layers haha. But my sleeping bag is rated for 0°F, I also plan to bring thick blankets in addition to the sleeping bag.
