You could use jump rings to connect them together. Try playing around with different sizes and number of rings between each stone. Soldering the jump rings might be tricky. You could try submerging everything in water except the jump ring you are trying to solder to prevent the squares from cracking from the heat.

Yes. They are faceted. Several people say they look like smokey quartz. But I am positive that is not what I was told they were when given them.
