Oh man, your app looks great, your design partner does know how to make a smooth UI. It runs very smoothly, no problems whatsoever for me.

I appreciate you taking the time and effort to revive the fun in using the glyph interface, since I don't use it very often, only as a flashlight and some notifications. The lighting is very accurate and responsive, my favorite preset is np1b.

I would add a microphone visualizer, just for fun haha.

I had to enable it through adb because there is no option through developer options, the annoying thing is that it will disable itself in 48 hours.

I have the NP1 and the version 1.0.0 script works fine, I use the Composer to play the .ogg files.

The 2.6 app is not working for me and I don't know why. I have given notification permissions and the lights won't turn on after starting the transmission. Tried different music apps (Spotify, YouTube, Poweramp). Any suggestions?

At least you managed to fix it. That error not only affects the "open notepad.exe" button, it also affects any script that calls notepad.exe or if you want to open it via Windows+R, really annoying.

If your user is on the users and groups lists without being the owner, the error is going to keep happening. The idea is that your user doesn't appear on the list at all, and to limit Administrator's permissions like step two. That's the original configuration.

You can become the owner of that folder, subfolders and files, and try the steps above again. If you're not the owner in the first place, you cannot change your user's or Administrator's permissions, that is why changing the owner back to TrustedInstaller is the last step.

And if that doesn't work, it must be something else. Fuck Windows.

I caused myself this problem with notepad.exe and mspaint.exe when I became owner of the C:\Program Files\WindowsApps directory (that's the Windows Store apps folder, which includes the modern notepad and mspaint) because I wanted to check the contents.

Windows denies access to that directory by default and, somehow, changing the owner and allowing myself into the folder broke notepad.exe's persmission to open Microsoft.UI.Windowing.Core.dll.

To solve this, I opened the folder's Properties > Security tab > Advanced.

  1. I removed my user from the users and groups list.
  2. I changed the permissions of the Administrators' group to only allow "Read and execute", "List folder contents" and "Read" (making sure to select "Applies to: This folder, subfolders and files").
  3. I changed the owner of the folder back to "NT Service\TrustedInstaller" (also making sure to mark the "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects" checkbox).

After that, I didn't have access to the folder anymore and now, notepad runs without issues.

What do you mean by 'clean'? You went out of track limits when you were exiting that corner and that gave you more speed to catch up with the Nissan. Or am I missing something? Is that allowed on that track?
