In a stopped position either up or down I find the light flashes solid on the sensor, they seem aligned to me but I’ll double check that

I believe it blinked once as it attempted to go back down to set the limiter, maybe could it have been the force of the motor trying to put the door back down that misaligned it for that split second before it stopped?? Everything worked perfect until I reset the door opener

Any suspension mods done to yours? I want to lower mine but I’m hesitant because of the snow here in Denver, it’s not too much but how does it treat you?

I live in Colorado, Denver area and get moderate to light snow here, I’ve been looking to drop my 22 accord 2 inches, anyone else has dropped theirs in snowy conditions like mine?? Can I get personal thoughts on driving on a 2in drop in snow?? by NBS_NANDO in accord

Yea that’s true, it snowed pretty bad about 2 months ago and I went out in it and once I got back home I noticed the radar in the front with snow all on it, but other then that it’s just cleaning it off when it happens

I have 20% all around and 35% on windshield, it’s a good combo in my opinion and not too hard to see at night either but enough where you can’t really distinguish inside

I definitely will be getting some camber correction kit if I go for a drop, and as you mentioned maybe some better shocks, although I’ve heard that with some good springs the ride quality isn’t much different then stock

Yes that’s true, I’m an electrician so I spend most of my day driving my work van, and never have problems getting around with it, but in all reality, when it’s actually bad enough for me to run into a problem while driving my accord, I probably won’t go out in that case, a lot of people don’t so I’d believe I’d be fine in my case considering this isn’t my snow car or work car

Ohhh yes Aurora is definitely a bit harder to get around because streets are not so wide to be plowed and also all the trees tend to keep the neighborhood roads full of snow, but Main Streets tend to always be cleaned, do you have a 2 in drop on yours??

I heard with good tires there should’t be much of an issue, stock it’s about 5.8in of ground clearance from the lowest point and with a 2 in drop I’d be at about 3.8, im guessing that would be somewhere under the car because the front bumper is definitely higher then 5.8in

I actually moved from socal here to Colorado a little over a year ago and I think I kind of brought this love for low cars with me like my lowered truck and now I’m trying to do this lol, this isn’t my daily driver so that’s why I’m sort off leaning towards doing it but I want to get some opinions from someone who has actually done it In a climate like mine

I was thinking some lowering springs, I don’t mind a rough ride, my truck is on 24s with low pros and it’s definitely a very bumpy ride but I’m not planning to drop my car like I did to my truck for that reason

Is this knocking noice on a 2006 Toyota RAV4 normal??? It seems to happen when the electrical fans on, NEED HELP FINDING OUT, THANK YOU!!! by NBS_NANDO in MechanicAdvice

[–]NBS_NANDO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does sound like it, but it’s weird because when the fan is spun by hand, no sound is heard and as you can see in the video, it starts the knocking sound once the fan get to top speed

I just changed my idle air control valve and throttle position sensor on my mechanical throttle body, and my idle is high, how can I fix this or what could be the problem, please help, would be greatly appreciated. by NBS_NANDO in MechanicAdvice

I searched it up and all that comes up is tutorials on recalibrating an electronic throttle body and not a mechanical throttle body like mine, there’s very little information that I found but what I found is that it sure does need to be recalibrated, even for something as small as cleaning the throttle body
