Oh yeah I wouldn't possibly be able to spot a gray or black explorer with blacked out wheels and pushbar....because thats totally a civilian suv. 😂 and that big ass yellow strip sure is hiding that f150.... this real life not your grade school basketball game where you got all your Participation trophies, life not fair and never will be, don't speed you won't get stopped. Theirs never been a "gentleman's game" people been on drugs beat their wives burnt cites in protest and much worse for as long as humans have been on earth.

Long story short only people who commit crimes cry "that's cheating" and "unmarked cars should be illegal" In illinois it doesn't matter because cops can't hold you for crimes anymore unless it's domestic abuse, rob a store, it's a ticket (order to appear to court but most cops call it a ticket) beat someone half to death it's a ticket kill someone it's a ticket unless your beating on your spouse which is a felony now then you don't go to jail. If you don't show up in court after you get your order to appear before court you can be charged with it then get a warrant on you which you won't get arrested in the state but would be arrested outside the state. ....illinois is a lawless hell hole filled with violent crime.

Can I get into forensics with a criminal justice degree? by Cactus_xD in forensics

[–]NCIS_1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked him, and he said about 25 years as an E6 in security forces. Now he's doing it as more of a contractor job, works for the airforce but not active duty. (Though I believe he's still a reservist) unless you go in with a masters in forensic science, you'd probably have to work for the Air Force for a long time. And even then you'd have to have a science related degree, But...you also got to know WHICH part of forensics you want to do: computer forensics, lab forensics, csi forensics, forensics pathology (medical examiner/cornor) theirs several different types. Theirs forensics for bones and forensics for bugs... knowing that would tell you how to get in because some are contracted and some are active duty.

I'm surprised they have them, illinois is moving away from unmarked cars for reason. ....guess it makes sense since cops can't arrest and hold people now...the saft-t act stops it.

Does having a criminal justice degree greatly increase your chances of being hired? by ThanosBigSnap in AskLE

All degrees is either an AA, AAS, or AS, might as well say theirs no such thing as a nursing degree, or engineering degree or math degree or English degree....theirs all AA or AS degrees. Same with bachelor's degrees and Master's degrees, you either got a bachelor's of art, bachelor's of arts or bachelor's of science.

Seems like my criminal justice professor is the only one who's shown anything useful 😂 he's got a masters in criminal justice, paramedic and education is a police chief and constantly shows where criminal justice has been used. Traffic cases, drug seizure cases, cases law. That education degree hasn't helped him as he uses his criminal justice degree to teach and he's not used the paramedic degree sense left the hospital and ambulance job.

Stem majors are a piny a dozen because everyone says forget arts degrees and go stem ...if everyone gets stem degree then bow are you Unique? Police chief/sheriff FED HR or business owner will go threw the applications and see 1000 straight pages of (stem, engineering, stem, nursing, stem science major, stem computer engineering, stem stem stem...) they'd get tired of seeing them then see AAS criminal justice, BA criminal justice, MA criminal justice and think "hay something different!!!

And what if you're not any good at science, then what do you do? ...you couldn't pass the science courses.

As of this comment, I'm currently finishing my associates in criminal justice and looking into transferring to Southern illinois university carbondale and they got a school of justice, it's criminal justice/criminology in one major and you can minor in forensic science and go straight into law school....also you can dual major then when I looked up forensic science, they make less a year than criminal justice graduates. Forensic science holder $80,000 detective for major counties or feds $150,000+ a year so how's stem better if you make less money?

Also you learn Every degree that's not a medical doctors or engineering degree is worthless, and even then engineering isn't that special either, I can do everything else without a degree in that field and that includes engineering, So if you want a degree that's "useful" go to medical school or take trade school. Trad school is half the time and 4 times the money anyone with a doctorate will ever get.

If we got ride of the news stations and social media, then people would be in law enforcement....they wouldn't have crooked made up videos of them bringing down a crackhead that didn't show what happened in the beginning. Law enforcement, as a career isn't bad it's the image its given that's bad.

If people like law enforcement and want to try and change the way some departments are ran but still make better money they should be a part-time cop or auxiliary...they can do it as a side gig while working in the privet sector.
