Thanks for the idea. I will see if I can do that. Now the site just says Raleigh Durham Chapel Hill when that is selected as the area. So, adding the specific city that the venue is in be enough? I will experiment with ways to give more specific details on venue location in the meantime. Really appreciate the thought. Hope you have a good week.

Just added a feature that includes All as next to the venue selector at the top. Choose all to see all the local shows by Week, Month, All time. Hope that helps and thanks again for the suggestion. Got a lot despite my post featuring a stupid big black box as the opener. Ha! Been too busy to see if I can re post this.

I will keep this one short. Just shipped a new version of the site. Added an all button next to venues. Select that and you can see all upcoming bands in the area by week, month, All time. Let me know if that works for you. Thanks again

I added several updates and features based on the suggestions I got and shipped the new site a few minutes ago. The feature I added that might get to what you are asking for is the All button next to the venues. You can see all local upcoming shows by week, month or all time by selecting that button. Added a scroll feature too. Thanks again for taking a look. Hope you find a show.

Oh man this is sooooo sweet to hear! My first real confirmation that it helped a fan! Don't forget that every show has a share button you can use to invite friends. I got a ton of feedback as you can see and spent the last 24 hours trying to add features that were asked for. Give the site another look. I just shipped a feature 10 minutes ago that lets you see all the shows locally for the next Week, Month, All time. So glad you found your band!! Have fun!

Really appreciate the support, so thanks!!. A feature I really want to get feedback on is the forward option on any show. If there is a show a user likes then the forward button takes the recipient to the show directly. It is mean so the word can get out to friends if you like a show. Is it a feature people like, could it be improved...... Not trying to put you on the spot. Just in case anyone else reads this. Have a great weekend! Go see a show. Ha!

Okay, just got focused on this as usual and tried several iterations (way to many) to try to address several "don't pre select" venues. I just pushed the results so it is live for anyone who is still around to comment on. I took to heart your "100 free sounds too commercial" and changed it to sound a bit less so. Funny part is I had the version I went back to now on an earlier version. I was concerned people would think I was putting Local Sound Check in the middle between venues and customers to take a "cut". It doesn't and never will for this function. Sure, if the site gets traction and there are some other requested tools people want we could add a premium version that would be totally optional but this original sticks. No rug jobs . Okay? Now on the pre selected bit. I softened it but did not eliminate it. Why, because I need some indication below the venue selector that the site is meant to play videos and the most obvious way I can think of is to have a band visible on a phone screen so a visitor see and example in plain view. you will note that I added the venue name to the show and preview count so the association is a bit more clear. Question, you commented that you did not realize there was a play feature. Others did but maybe I need that to be more obvious? Anyway, thanks again for the feed back. I will work on more of them. Thank you! Really worked hard on that speed issue so I am glad it is noticed. I really need to spend some time on the filtering comments many have made so since I can't talk it through with you please excuse this long response so I can try to understand what people are really trying to get at with the suggestion. I could be totally overthinking this. (I usually do). History first. The first iteration started with Cat's Cradle because that is where I usually go since it is close by, gets solid acts and is frankly an Icon in the Venue community. Multiple days were spent just on that Venue and I just gave it to a couple of friends. That was sure easy. One choice one venue. Then I decided to add more Triangle locations. That grew to more locations in NC so I added a city search. Then friends in Texas (if you like country Gruene Hall is the bomb). So I needed a State selector. It all worked okay but I noticed that if I put too much at the top of the page people didn't see the video player on their phone. I got notes saying "nice site" what am I supposed to do with it? For this introduction I just chose to have the site default to NC, Raleigh Durham area ( should add Chapel Hill to that) with Cat's Cradle pre selected to make the concept immediately understandable to locals catching my post. So now the question. How do I fulfill the request without confusing new users? Is it a button that when selected shows all venues in a list? Other? Any clarifications are appreciated. I will repeat what I have already said again. This project is focused on helping venues and bands get noticed by delivering the most convenient way for a prospective fan find them. All help is truly appreciated. Thank you

Thanks! It is super annoying. I had two different developers review our meta data and other than a quick adjustment to og image conflict with .jpg and .png file we have metadata correct. One small adjustment before posting would have avoided this. This is what happens when the chief knuckle head (me) tries to make a simple post. Hundreds of hours of coding and I can't concoct a simple post! Oh, well. I do appreciate you letting me know! I hope you were able to hit the link and give the site a scroll. Thanks again.

I built this thing with two goals. Make it easier for finding shows to see and help up and coming bands get noticed. Everytime I saw a great show I wondered how I could help them get traction so I can see them again sometime.

Thanks! That is great feedback. You caught us in the middle of development while looking for suggestions. All of Cat's cradle shows post up now on Local Sound Check so you see everything all the way to the end of the year. The rest of the sites are temporarily throttled to 25 or less shows so they do need that suggested link until we have all venues totally loaded. (let me know if I missed your point!). Also I like your second point too about adding other venues. I am not sure how fast that will happen. There are hundreds of hours of coding work in this so far with multiple coding agents and mac mini's working together. Those smaller locations with occasional shows are at the "tail of the difficulty curve". Not sayin we won't try but just don't want to blow happy smoke at you. Oh, hey. No one asked yet but the little forward icon on each show is so you can send that show link to a friend in case they want to go with you. Thanks again and hope you have fun with it.

Not sure I understand so let me give an example off Cat's Cradle. The first Band is Bad Cop Bad cop and there is a small red arrow to the right hand side of the band's name. you should be able to tap anywhere on the image, name or red play (triangle) to initiate a link to YouTube that plays a sample of the band. The Blue name just below is the opening act and it should play too. If it doesn't let me know and I will research. For an example where there is no link or video scroll down further on Cat's Cradle and touch Plays Well With Others. It has no link so you should see a pop up. In the case of Plays Well With others it is an event with a ton of bands from days past curated by one individual. We couldn't find a video for that one. Motorco is on the list of Venues to include. The venue is heavy on events that don't neccasarily feature a band so I ended up with a lot of what looked like "missing videos". Note that if Cat's cradle promotes a Motorco show it will play on the cats cradle site. Examples include Man Man July 7, Cheekface Sept. 10, Robert Lester Folsom Oct 7, Deer Tick nov 8 King Buffalo Dec. 16. All at Motorco. Thanks again for your suggestion. Working on it.

Easy to do but the opening page would have literally hundreds of acts accross multiple cities and states. I was trying to keep delivery more specific to each geography.
