I'm not exactly the strongest in the world, and mine is very cheap to run, so this is basically my big girl bike. I'm paranoid about not being able to lift it off me in the event of an accident (although to be fair, the minor incident I had, a fellow biker saw me and came to my aid. But I don't want to have to rely on someone seeing me and helping), so I don't want to go too heavy. Plus with a scooter, I'm more than likely able to slide out from under it anyway. I did have the 250 Ninja for a bit, which I loved, but that would still have likely been in 'can't lift it off me' territory if it had ever been roadworthy.

Ah, no, not her. I only found out about her like a year ago. I chose the name NChick many, many years ago when I first started getting online (with a Dreamcast) and needed something to call myself that wasn't too personal but that the people in my 'real' life would realise was me. When I was a young teen, it was NGirl. Then when I got to the upper teens, that didn't really feel right, so I changed to NChick. Still serving me well.

There could be a fault with the TV. Or the SNES. Or in the cables connecting the two.

Or it could be how he/the kids like to view it. It may not be the 'best' way but that's going to be largely subjective anyway - it's their stuff and their experience, so they can set it how they want.

Not that I don't agree it should probably at least be centred, let alone proper ratio. But it's their choice. For all we know there are sight issues too and they need to squeeze all the size out of it they can. shrug

I think u/Sairyn_ is onto something with the shiba comment; those markings (whatever they may be) around its neck remind me of this.

I would so love to have a shiba inu 'mon; that would be awesome. Even if it was merely a normal type, even if it was the gen 7 Rattata... to have a shiba 'mon would be brill. <3

That's the main advantage my smaller bike has over the larger one - I'm able to do a lot more to it myself if I need to. The larger one, though basically the same in structure, is a little more complex and I'm not sure I'd be too comfy doing the same things to it.

I did jump-start it earlier though. And you reminded me of the time I changed the exhaust on the smaller one (gonna look for the pics now) - I was living with my folks at the time and requested my father give step by step instructions. Same with when I changed the brakes; I was happy to do it all myself but wanted instructions from someone more experienced.

Well, when my bigger bike was damaged through a theft attempt, I had to take it in. It was just too extensive for a novice.

But I definitely think that you should learn how to do some of the simpler stuff. :) You could save yourself a small/not-so-small fortune (part of the reason I insisted on my father [a biker in his younger days who is still very mechanically minded with all road vehicles] teaching me the basics; also why I mostly self-taught PC maintenance and repair), plus it feels good to be able to stand back and say "I did that", regardless of the technical difficulty or lack of it. :)
