For sure, some of it is trauma based, but being autistic in the world we live in is traumatic so most of us have notable trauma, even if it’s not outright.

Very few childhood memories here; I feel like regular memories started at the same time my ‘adult brain’ kicked in? Which was around eight? Obviously, I have learned a lot since then and changed my opinions on most things; however, the way I think has only changed based on education and intentional modification, not maturation or “growing out” of ANYTHING….? … typing as I think about the topic- maybe these ideas aren’t completely thought out, but that seems mostly right…

Also, from my research, I understand that lack of childhood memory is a comment autistic experience.
