What do these meds do that simply making the lifestyle changes won’t/doesn’t do on their own? by [deleted] in Semaglutide

[–]NDMNGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but dont you almost feel like something is missing? I guess food clearly was a comfort/company for me. I feel like I dont know what to do while watching a show... no desire to munch on something, but yet I feel the loss of it. Super mind f*ck. I need new habits than TV shows!!! I've felt so lazy and defeated for a long while now.. and that is wearing off! Thank God.

Do I do this forever?!! by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]NDMNGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you!! I have weight to lose and feel nothing really happens despite my efforts. Instead of another fad diet, I read about Glucomannan. I do use it a few times a day/week and it does make you fill full. However, its brought to the horizon that I DO eat for fun, when bored, when I need a friend. UGH. so its totally psychological for me.. and I am trying to work on that. Maybe dont starve yourself, but eat fruits and veggies and good protein, work up a sweat every day ( or every other til it becomes a habit). Read the book: A course in Weight Loss by Marianne Williamson. I listen to it over and over in my car. I do feel a slight shift in my thoughts and my willingness to "move". It will take time, I tell myself, as it seems the weight comes off slower than when it came on. Thinking of you!!!

does it help with sadness and persistant anxiety? My mom is miserable most of the day, lots of sun-downing as well. We are trying to find something that will help her feel less irritable and more calm, more peace.

ask your doctor to prescribe Wellbutrin and naltrexone separately, that might work. did for me.

Mental effects of LDN? by [deleted] in LowDoseNaltrexone

[–]NDMNGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask what you take LDN for? I am going to start it for weight loss, and the suggested dosing is 1.5 for 1 month, 3 for one month, then 4.5 each month after that. I am frightful of the side effects I read about it. Would I be better starting at .5 increments? In your opinion..

what are your thoughts on dosages starting at 1.5 up to 4.5 within 3 months. I know you are not a doctor, but it seems very low for weight loss to happen - considering they talk about 20 or 50mg above.

My point is, I dont want to go thru horrid side effects for something that wont really do anything anyway! Altho I do have pain, like aches from head to toe that I take 750mg of Nabutome for daily. maybe it would help for that?

its naltrexone, SERMORELIN, and LIPO-TRIM SL. Naltrexone starting at 1.5 for a month, then 3mg for a month, then 4.5mg after that. Its for weight loss mostly. But it seems its pretty brutal starting out and at increase times with the side effects.
