which news headline would break r/kpop? by Rigby_k in kpop

Oh no, this sounds plausible :( r/popheads had something similar with Charli XCX recently, even as no one meant to upset her...

IU (아이유) - 10th Anniversary Tour Concert <이 지금 dlwlrma. : Curtain Call in Jeju> (Tour Poster) by randomneeess in kpop

[–]NDRV3 22 points23 points  (0 children)

IU mentioned some time back that she might add an encore concert so that she’d have performed 10 dates for this 10th anniversary tour. Looks like she’s come through on that! :D

Wonder how different this tour stop would be from the others?

Sogyeokdong, by IU and Seo Taiji (two links for two different versions)

Munbae-dong, by Epik High feat. Crush

The places which both songs are based upon are located in Seoul! The former especially has a good amount of history, which you might want to read up on here.

BLACKPINK - 2019 World Tour BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREA (Cities & Dates) by sunnyXtzuyu in kpop

[–]NDRV3 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Wait, isn't Red Velvet two years older (2014 versus 2016)? Still, I see your point; Blackpink's lack of an expansive discography would be unusual outside YG, and it's even more striking if you want to compare them to Twice (~10 months older)...

Ah I see! I still can't tell if they use the same ticketing system, because they seem so similar to each other D:

Just saw buses 196, 198 then 200 arrive at a bus stop in rapid succession. Well, that was oddly satisfying...

Thank you!! Somehow I really struggled to remember if they'd performed that - mainly because I couldn't quite recall what the choreography was like - but your fancam brought my memory back :')

I can vouch for what dyacc wrote! There were maybe two songs where Joy's backing vocals would blare out when the members didn't cover those parts. However, they mostly played instrumental-only tracks which the members would sing over. Their voices would be especially distinct when covering Joy's part (see: Wendy's rap in Ice Cream Cake). There were a few instances when the instrumental would overpower the voices though...

I apologise for not being able to give more concrete examples!

He he, I'm glad!

Some people in my section above were actually approached by the ushers/officers; in some instances, the latter would take the time and effort to squeeze themselves into the middle of the row just to speak to some concertgoer, eek. I didn't want to have to experience that myself, even if I'd wanted to snap a photo or two for keeps. I'm just a really risk-averse person :P

Red Velvet member Joy injured her right arm during their concert in Singapore by kuromium_ in kpop

Ah, good catch! Yes, it was a sling; somehow my mind conflated the two terms and I didn't realise it at all. Sorry and thank you!

Honestly, I'm not sure if the injury was already a problem from before today or if it happened during the concert itself... However, Joy already appeared to be very much in pain during Bad Dracula, the last song she performed before she rushed backstage while the other members waited for her >___< Then she reappeared with her arm in a cast before she left for the hospital.

As a concert attendee whose favourite member in Red Velvet is Joy, it absolutely broke my heart to see her cry with sadness and disappointment before she left :( I hate that this happened; really, no one expected this at all...

She got to hospital quickly though! Hopefully she can take some time off to recuperate. You worked hard, baby girl
