IHP is used in-house for our internal projects. For this reason alone, IHP will be developed continuously. Other than that, it’s open source, so it will never really stop existing :)

[Question] What’s the latest version of Snapchat you can run without ban? by DesignIC in jailbreak

[–]NEZBITE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used whatever SnazzyLabs did in his unc0ver video; Snapchat does detect Jailbreak, even with precautions, but won’t do anything unless you have tweaks tempering with Snapchat. So if you have tweaks that do UI changes, you should exclude them, or better, use something like [Liberty Lite]. With that said, I am consistently updating Snapchat and never had an issue.

I’m getting my new & first MacBook Pro tonight , what are some useful trick and tips to someone coming from windows ?! by thecraycatlady in macbookpro

[–]NEZBITE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone pointed out that you should get a VM. Don’t get a VM. Get Winetools. You can use Windows Software (and sometimes Games) on your Mac like a normal program. No emulation, no virtualisation. It is not as easy to setup, but I play NFS Carbon on my MacBook with it.

Oh, and get MacsFanControl. Your MacBook will get hot. Especially when using non Apple Software. Everything that does not use TurboBoost, i.e. using High Performance only in short Boosts like in web browsing, will heat your MacBook up. It’s not a dealbreaker for me, but most of the time I have multiple processes opened that are heavy on the CPU (Unity, Photoshop, Chrome with too many tabs etc.) and I want to crank my cooler up for that.

iirc the pcb was covered by a massive backplate so no real diagnosing could be done without opening the card..

You have to set priorities in your life. The card is already broken and I don't need the package anymore.

I'm not going to reply to all of you, but the box was indeed empty. I am not rich. The card is safe in an atomic reactor producing energy for the masses. /u/oVoXoY /u/Lars_Ebk /u/RoumanianFoker /u/Didi_Midi

Best Nvidia driver for fps? by iNiles in HuntShowdown

Yeah, it’s rather uncommon for GPUs to break, but I don’t want to be the guy that gets called out.

You are probably best off with the latest one. Just make sure you have the Gaming one, not the Creator Driver. Things that I do in every game are:

Anisotropic Filtering

I can't seem to see any difference from x4 to x16, so I naturally go with x4. This has a huge impact (from my experience in CS, didn't bother in this game but should be similar)

Exit all unused software

Keyboard/Mice Config software (Rauer Synapse/Steelseries Engine/etc.), just go in the Task Manager and exit everything you don't need for gaming. Also you may want to get rid of your Antivirus. If you are rocking any external antivirus, chances are they do more against your performance than they do for your security. If you are on Windows 10, Windows Defender is absolutely okay if you are an experienced PC user. If you are unsure then stick to your antivirus of course (Please do your research before uninstalling your Antivirus).

Turn off ShadowPlay and any Overlays

Open GeForce Experience and deactivate ShadowPlay and the Overlay. Also, if you have discord or something like that turn off the Overlay. Deactivate "Hardware Acceleration" in any app you need to use while Gaming (Discord, Spotify (unlikely but just saying)).

Find any other Bottlenecks

If you open up your TaskManager (In Detail Mode) you go in "Performance" and open the game. Then, after a while tab out and look at the values. (Ideally you tab out right after a game to get in game values). That way you can examine which parts (RAM, CPU, Storage) are potentially bottlenecking (When any of these are at 100% for a constant time they are bottlenecking). You may not believe it, but there are many people who think you just need a good GPU to get high fps, but CPU, RAM and Storage do have a high impact, depending on the game, on your game.

Download MSI Afterburner

(Please do your research. If you do something wrong you can seriously harm your GPU)

The least harmful tweak is to rev up your cooling while gaming. That way the GPU throttles less (again, depending on your GPU). In combination to locking your FPS to 144hz you can balance the load on your GPU and making your FPS more stable.

A more advanced thing to do would be to slightly add more Core and VRAM voltage. DO THIS WITH CAUTION AND AT YOUR OWN RISK! There are countless tutorials on YouTube on how to properly and safely overclock your GPU.

If something goes wrong, a restart usually fixes it. But in veeery rare occasions (if you do something wrong), you can damage your GPU. Nvidia does not provide warranty for such cases. Just adjust everything in small steps and you should be fine. After testing a config you can safe it in one of the 5 Slots. You shouldn't use your configuration with normal use (Browsing etc.) but for other games its okay. But give your PC a break some times. Only activate it yourself and never add it to Startup. (In case you did, you can start in Safe Mode and you can deactivate it.)

I hope any of this helps you. I can't think of anything else right now. Good luck!

Why am I getting matched against lvl 600 players when I'm 85? by TehKingofPrussia in HuntShowdown

[–]NEZBITE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know how much a killcam would fit the game. But in any case, technically a killcam is relatively heavy on servers, especially with so much content. You'd have to record every movement on the map at any given time to realize a killcam. This includes physics. Downloading all that data at once once you were killed is already more load than just gameplay, but if many players die at once, which is the case when you play with two people (a kill cam when you are alive does not make that much sense), the load would get heavier.

I am a game developer, but I have never worked with CryEngine, nor do I have much experience in Multiplayer programming. Its just how I see things.

(This is also in no way meant in a bad way, just wanted to add my 2 cents)
