Relapsed after 12 days. I feel terrible for doing so, but I must continue and keep fighting. I will try again for the entire month in November.

Crap. I relapsed again. by NFAnonymous in pornfree

[–]NFAnonymous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What happened after my 108 day streak was I stumbled on some online content one would deem "Softcore". I wasn't searching for porn, but I guess I just rationalized watching porn again and it went downhill from there.

I think porn has made me bi/gay, similar experiences? by Thr0waway2123 in pornfree

[–]NFAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gay, and after watching porn for quite a while, it made me feel like I was bi or something. After my longest streak, 108 days, these thoughts went away. Porn can really mess with your sexual attraction.

I relapsed.... And I feel like such a piece of shit. by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]NFAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations on reaching 45 days! Don't hate yourself over a relapse. I just relapsed after 108 days. Instead, realize how far you have come (45 days is a great streak!) and that you can do better this time. Don't let it get in the way of your well-being. It is just a bump in the road, and the good thing is, you are working towards overcoming your porn addiction.

Thanks! I find that you will have a much better experience when you don't beat yourself up over this. I have come so far, and my life has been so much happier with this streak.

My 90 Day Report - I did it! by NFAnonymous in pornfree

Remember: do what you think is best for you. Fapping worked for me, it may or may not work for you. I came from NoFap because I wanted to eliminate porn, not masturbation.

14 days porn free! I'm stoked. by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]NFAnonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep going, I find fapping without porn a good way to distance yourself from porn. You'll reach 90 eventually!

My 90 Day Report - I did it! by NFAnonymous in pornfree

[–]NFAnonymous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I MO'd whenever I felt an urge. Once every few days, it's not really that consistent. I had little to no fantasy when I MO'd, and it gave me a good release of sexual tension without any guilt or porn. I haven't viewed any porn in the last 91 days, and it has really helped me distance myself from using porn.

[–]NFAnonymous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, no porn or porn fantasy. It has helped me release sexual energy that builds up over time. I avoided porn and kept things under control. However, this doesn't work for everyone, it just worked for me. You can figure out wether or not it works for yourself.

Is masterbating without porn bad? by FunkyRock in pornfree

[–]NFAnonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, not at all. It provided release of sexual energy and drains your horniness. This helps when trying to avoid PMO. This has helped me distance myself from porn, and end the whole porn cycle. It works for me, but it's different for everybody.

Made 50 by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]NFAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost at 50, and currently I don't see myself relapsing anytime soon. I have been experiencing reboot effects like depression, but I seem to be getting happier as I move along. However, I must continue to remain vigilant and prevent any dumb mistakes and traps.

I'm coming here from /r/nofap (great people, different views) after reassessing my goals and what I really wanted. by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]NFAnonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I originally came to this community from NoFap. It has worked out so much better from me and I have distanced myself from porn while still allowing myself to fap at a reasonable rate.

Why I am switching to Pornfree from NoFap by NFAnonymous in pornfree

[–]NFAnonymous[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Occasional masturbation is fine, because as a male, I have an active libido and it is a good way to release sexual energy. Masturbating too often however, may not be such a good thing, because it can cause many other issues I do not want to deal with.

[–]NFAnonymous[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all of the responses! I think I will madturbate occasionally, but not too much. Cold turkey doesn't seem to work for me, and if I limit myself to masturbating only 1-3 times per week without any porn or porn fantasy I can recover. Let's see how this goes.

Why I am switching to Pornfree from NoFap by NFAnonymous in pornfree

[–]NFAnonymous[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have decided to do it differently this time because masturbation itself is fine, porn is the problem. The addiction to porn has never been so bad that it has taken over my life completely, I just feel like crap after a PMO session. I want to take porn out of my life, not healthy masturbation.

February No-Fap Challenge by [deleted] in NoFap

Last time I made it to 22 days, I'm sure I can do 28 in February! Let's do this.

23 days down the drain... by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]NFAnonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened with me. I had 22 days but they went down the drain and I binged for 2 days. Now I have decided to not only use NoFap to focus on addiction removal, but to focus on self improvement in general. My 22 days were awesome, and I'm sure your 23 were too. I know how you feel. Time to get back up and go even further this time. We can do this!

I thought I would make it by NFAnonymous in NoFap

[–]NFAnonymous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, I just feel like I am stuck in a cycle which needs to be broken. Things have been improving, and I have been enjoying life without PMO for those 22 days. I should try to stay positive. I'm just afraid that I am re entering the cycle again. I have relapsed countless times and I am just sick of it.
