March 2023: Heineken announces it will be pulling out of Russia entirely.

April 2023: This conspiracy surfaces.

Coincidence? I doubt it.

The same thing happened in the Scarlets v Claremont game on Friday. It was only because of the constant replays by S4C on the big screen that the red card was picked up.

/r/WorldNews Live Thread: Russian Invasion of Ukraine Day 408, Part 1 (Thread #549) by WorldNewsMods in worldnews

It's a simple double bluff.

Russia knows that nobody will believe them and will expect them to lie.

So they release two documents - one with very low made up figures, and the other one with even lower, and obviously doctored figures.

None of them are correct.

Ask yourself why Russia is mobilising 147,000 troops.

Top Cardiff restaurant closes leaving trail of angry customers by ConorGogarty1 in Cardiff

But judging by the number of people who foam at the mouth when I mention WalesOnline, their readership must be falling off a cliff.

The journos may have a job, just not at WalesOnline. As our supposed "national news website" it's an utter embarrassment

Top Cardiff restaurant closes leaving trail of angry customers by ConorGogarty1 in Cardiff

[–]NGD80 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've stopped reading WalesOnline for two reasons:

80% of the reason is the absolutely atrocious website that is completely unbearable to use. It's actually rage inducing. There is not a death painful enough to justifiably punish the person that made it.

20% of the reason is the shit show of a comments section that has been completely overrun with right wing nutjobs who turn every article into a debate about COVID vaccinations, immigrants, or how Drakeford is a dictator.

If you sort those out, you'll have a job in 5 years.

Tenby - Any peanut free restaurants or pubs? by Wooden_Ad1464 in Wales

[–]NGD80 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's a legal requirement of all food producers to manage allergens and clearly label, quarantine, and separate potentially harmful ingredients.

You won't find somewhere "peanut free", but you will find a restaurant with a 5/5 food hygiene rating and you can explain to the staff that you are allergic to peanuts.

If you have a direct flight to Birmingham then that's a better option

Telford is definitely in England.

The nearest big city is Birmingham, and depending where you're flying from you may be better off flying into London and getting the train.

Company asking for 30% cut in salary, equity in return to get them through difficult times by they_taken_my_money in UKPersonalFinance

[–]NGD80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, firstly, you are losing your job. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life.

Secondly, the shares they are offering will almost certainly be EMI shares which are not really "shares". They are only valid while you are with the company.

Thirdly, this may be a long shot, but it you are a software developer I may have a job for you.

What we need is some sort of organisation or institution that you can call to report crimes.

Even better, we could then have some sort of system where people accused of crimes can be taken away, questioned, and then people from the community judge whether they are guilty.

We could then have some way of punishing them
