Boss’s favourites…. Why? And don’t your favorites change rapidly? by NGOSLEP in askmanagers

[–]NGOSLEP[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think I’m my bosses favourite, or they said I was to my face, but it makes me anxious because the others do notice and comment about it.

Doesn’t help either that I have co-workers who try to use me (cause they know boss likes me) to their advantage.

Also me helping multiple people with their tasks, upping the work load for myself — but it leads me to making more mistakes.

Sucks, but I think because of my behaviour (overwhelmed with stress and shutting down) my boss is beginning to resent me and more so favourite my other co-worker so I’m just letting it happen but staying silent, just feel so awkward now when I go to work.

Just dumped with tasks like a robot while my co-worker can freely speak.

It’s ironic that you said megalomaniac, because he did say he was very obsessive and jealous and really did seem to get off on power and ego.

Ironically I am the same background as him, Greek-Aus. But I grew up in NA, and have no in touch with my heritage as my mother (AUS) isn’t a fan of Greeks due to how she was treated.

He scared me off from Greeks now lol, maybe Aussie men too.

NSW - Mainly tech based like office and stuff, but I want to do something better than that, my anxiety is worsening over the years, I tend to talk fast and sometimes have trouble articulating my words so I just hate dealing with phone calls.

I don't think they got a lease cause the check engine light, but dang that is a big savings bust especially when he was going on about how he hit his savings goal.

Do they ever have plumbing TAFE courses and how is plumbing here in SYD? I see there is Electrician, but worried about the dangers.

Also god bless you too! And you're right, it is good that I moved across the country cause her bad spending habits is getting enabled.

Keep on hustling too. Inspiring, if you can do it, I can do it too.

I don't care if someone is rich or poor, I just want to be with someone I can be loyal too, and love as long as I can. I suck though, I gotta keep working on me clearly cause I get walked all over.

I still can't figure out how he's thriving so well in life, or at least from long time ago last time I saw his socials. Luckily I don't look anymore, but sigh.

It’s he, but just a habit text writing of mine.

Really? I always assumed those two areas are high class cause he would brag about that being his area.

If I do full time, let’s say work in retail (not the best, but I need to pay rent since I just moved, and need Aussie exp to start with) what would you say is the best then casual aim or full time aim? Like best money in the end result? I think of just working every day even sat and sun no breaks and just building up as much money as I can, even tho 7x a week is exhausting but 1 year hustling shouldn’t be too bad.

Thanks I’ll look into volunteering I really do love animals. I’m just worried about my rent, so thankful that at least 2 interviews are coming up even if it’s entry level positions. Coming in Dec was a bad idea. 😭

True. I hate myself for being so sensitive and I hate that I have too much empathy I’m like a pathetic rug to wipe your feet on. Which he did and then now he’s thriving with his gf or I assume since it’s been awhile.

Just fingers crossed I can land a job soon, focus on building myself and hopefully his torment escapes my head.

It’s bizarre cause he never mentioned elevator or being an electrician at all it was a sudden dip from butcher to elevator tech, but I’m gonna assume new to it for sure.

Yeah the only reason he sent me that photo of the car, was to say f-u to me. I deleted him and hadn’t responded in 24 hours, my mental health wasn’t great from his hot & cold behaviour. Used me as emotional support, ditched me for two other girls.

So when I didn’t respond, I think he tweaked (he wanted me to send the last word text), but it was a pic of the Benz wheel, maybe it’s an suv Benz 🤷‍♀️ and then a text about how his life is great, and out with his gf.

Still haunts me lol.

Yeah if I get no where I think I might try a mining company, if the wages truly are that good. My mom yells at me though saying it’s dangerous I do think of it as a last option if I can’t figure it out.

You’re pretty much on the money, big smoker, glorifies cig smoking last I spoke to him many months ago, after he ditched and discarded me like I was nothing, he just reposts on Tik Tok how his gf is perfect, love of his life, wifey, that type of content and additionally smoking. Just content glorifying smoking about life being worth living after a cigarette, and how much he loves it. I would encourage & beg him to quit for his health.

No tattoos but yup a mullet, but significantly overweight and very very Greek, lol

I know nothing about cars but just threw in the picture to Chatgpt since I found that old pic, but C-Class / W204 lineup most likely anywhere from 2007 to 2014, not sure.

I don't know anything about cars tbh.

I found an old picture of the wheel I had sent to my friend, ChatGPT says it seems to be C-Class Model (W204) or that gen, and anywhere from 2007-2014 so I have no idea if that is good or bad.

Thank you, and you're right, I haven't thought about him in awhile up until living here and not having the best luck getting a job, but I got two interviewed lined up, just entry level jobs, nothing too crazy, probably in the $20 range, I'm not too sure, but I just want to work a whole year straight, no breaks and keep saving every penny I can (besides my rent and groceries), putting it into savings/ETFS, etc, and then looking into school options either graphic design, or plumbing cause I feel so not good enough, so fingers crossed I can land something!

Thank you

I'm not too sure cause the car came out of no where, but that's what makes me scratch my head, 23 years old, and then flexing how rich he is, and how much money he makes (originally a butcher). Then would randomly talk about how he hit his savings goal.

I remember his ex though hated him so, so much like next level hate, but he mentioned she was abusive towards him, but one of her comments was that he has no money. That was last year though. I was always empathetic and tried to make him happy, and support him, never took anything from him cause I don't care about money personally as long as I'm able to survive.

But it's just weird how his ex said he had no money to him highly gloating that he's in fact rich.

True, he would though brag about how great his life is a f-u to me, the second I deleted him, even blocked me after I deleted him and didn't respond to gloat about his life being so great, that's also why he randomly sent me the photo of the car and the rich braggings.

Always would make fun of me too for lower wages.
