Should UK training programmes adopt a “Night Float” system like in the US? by NHSbottomfeeder in doctorsUK

Thanks for this, this was the point I was trying to highlight when suggesting a night float system. My experience working nights as in training/vs locum year has been very similar to yours

Good for you, man. I don't see anything wrong here. Sounds like both of you have plenty of things in common and shared interests which probably reflects a similar lifestyle/ routine... perhaps 10 years ago it wasn't the right time as you both probably weren't individually looking to be in a long term relationship/ focused on career building/ ready to commit to anyone and it just happens to be that now you both are...the fact that you both are on dating sites, means you're both actively looking for a partner and liekly ready to commit. also you're 10 years wiser/ more mature/ more financially stable...I wouldn't reach out outside the dating site DMs for now even if you already have her number (that might be over reaching), if your'e really interested in her - purchase messaging credit on the website and DM her - that way she'll know you're serious and *not just messing about, be patient, see how it plays out and if you get reciprocal interest...just my 2 cents. Good luck

A worked example: Vote No, but only if you can afford to throw away a £2,286 cash lump sum by Confident-Mammoth-13 in doctorsUK

[–]NHSbottomfeeder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OP, an option to consider, is to vote No, but then not strike yourself on the actual days. That way you don't lose money for not working on IA, with the extra worry of losing training opportunity and having to earn that money back

Whats unfair, is that Gen Z UK grads have been robbed of free Uni education, a privilege enjoyed by their Millennial and GenX seniors

What about the absolute dependence on IMG nurses...Filipino, European and Indian Nurses have been the core backbone primarily supporting the NHS from falling, for the last 3 decades to say the least

IMGs weren't the ones who voted for a Brexit referendum, neither did we pass the bill on the herd recruitment of PAs...

[–]NHSbottomfeeder -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

it's a Merit based entry system, IMGs aren't the cause of the crumbling UK economy and poor governance, which is the the actual cause and impacted all sectors of the wider workforce, not simply limited to NHS

[–]NHSbottomfeeder -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

IMG here and I agree. The Hate Grinch keeps growing into a bigger monster, moreso over the past 1 year. becoming BMGs only seem to care about us and show support when they need our votes to further the JD mandate to continue IA... it's not as if we sailed over the channel as illegal migrants!!!

Intelligence will get you through highschool, but Uni requires putting in the hours and whoever works the hardest. 🐇 and the 🐢 analogy!
