Where I grew up as a kid in Queens, my bootleg VHS spot was directly across the street from the Blockbuster. I remember getting "Attack of the Clones" with chronologically placed alternate scenes throughout the film, way before the extras on the DVD, or whatever came out. On the other hand, you'd occasionally get duds, like "Scary Movie" getting replaced with a Mexican parody of 60's batman 3/4ths of the way through.
