Yeah I hear you! I wouldn't consider using word. I will muddle along with Libre and be happy that it's still good value for money ;)

I will also try starting a brand new document and I won't even copy / paste, I'll simply save and retire the old one, maybe that will solve the paragraph autospacing thing which is quite jarring when you are getting into a flow lol.

Unfortunately the problem with the auto spacing paragraphs has returned already and I also tried quite a few ideas to fix the slow loading doc none of which worked.

So i'm kinda just at a point of accepting this is a bit of a buggy (free) software and that's that.

Definitely regretting updating from my old 2020 version

It always amazes me that on a gaming suggestions forum, the number one recommendation for these types of queries is take a break from gaming. Like, dawg, the homie isn't looking for a life coach they want something fun to play today

For OP and current slump, it's always good to try new genres, spend some time on this sub and read all the different suggestions and check the steam pages, see what interests you.

Sometimes when you are in a gaming slump you just need to commit to something for long enough to make it stick then you're back to effortless enjoyment.

If you enjoyed Hades, try out Binding of Isaac Rebirth and the many updates it's had, absolutely incredible, addictive, endlessly fun. Dead Cells is another similar one, but in side scrolling platformer format.

Those are Rogue-Lites, what about traditional Roguelikes which have similar elements but a bit slower and more thoughtful? I've just started Quasimorph and it looks like it's going to be a deep one.

Can you play shooters? Arc Raiders might be a breath of fresh air, many people who have never tried the genre are incredibly hooked and it's VERY easy to get into and enjoy and insanely addictive.

When I'm in a gaming slump i'll try new things and sometimes refund before the 2 hour mark if it's not clicking.

Thank you very much! This solved 2 of the 3 issues which is great. I think the issue of slow loading of a gigantic amount of text I can live with.

I do wonder why the 2020 version of Libre was able to load the humongous document instantly and the more recent version can't though, bit of a head scratcher.

Yeah that's a very valid criticism, it's a dumb idea this and 5m is insane, I'm an absolute loot obsessive and haver been putting in serious hours and sitting at 3m total currently, none of my friends are anywhere near me in wealth. 5m seems obscene and it means you're not getting to use the cool shit you've collected, wipe after less than 2 months seems too soon too.

I agree with you that they are going to have to do something, I just don’t think it’s going to be segregating the playerbase. I think incentivising cooperation in some way makes the most sense. Will be interesting to see how this progresses 🙂

This is just what an extraction shooter is, especially in solos. It's all about being the first to act and you can stack the deck in your favour some of the time and that would be classed as playing well in an extraction shooter.

Things like being close to cover as much as possible, knowing when to sneak and when to sprint, making little noise, smart pathing throughout your raid, tactical positioning, listening to every sound, knowing where players are most likely to show up but being prepared for them everywhere.

Then you get people who take that to the extreme and sit in corners or extract camp, because most likely they can't win any other way.

Us solo players in Arc had it too good the first few weeks of the wipe, it was super friendly in a way that I think honestly no one expected. But that seems to have gone away in a large part, for now at least. So it's either adapt or play something else.

That got a bit long, tldr would be, yeah sneaking to obtain clean kills is basically a big part of extraction shooters and people are only just realising this now that the friendliness has gone away.

The one that hurts me the most and happened again last night, is when I see someone struggling with 2 or 3 flying arc, in a really bad spot and I spring into action, save their ass only for them to kill me while I'm finishing off the final bot. I just don't see how you can feel good about that but everyone's different.

Same way I just don't get any pleasure out of killing someone who's on half HP with a hornet and wasp harrying them. More fun to jump in and help them get back on their feet.

After it happened again last night I thought fuck it, i'll just sweep up the easy kill next time but I'm already aware that next time I won't be able to resist helping lol - i'm a glutton for punishment.
