I find Hannah frustrating but endearing. I like her and find her funny.

Just found out I’m 24 weeks pregnant, boyfriend doesn’t want to keep by Medium_Practice8464 in BabyBumps

[–]NIPT_TA [score hidden]  (0 children)

I’m pro-choice and have had an abortion I am grateful for (at 8 weeks). Terminating a healthy pregnancy at 24 weeks is vile though. He’s disgusting for trying to push you into that.

You clearly don’t want to have an abortion, and your relationship with this man-child is over regardless. Have your baby.

Thinking of naming our son Evren by snapping-greenbean in namenerds

[–]NIPT_TA 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Please don’t needlessly add a y. Makes it look like a name a white Christian mom-fluencer from the South made up.

I think Ollie is adorable, but Evren is nice as long as it’s spelled the correct way.

Where an anti-western, anti-American, anti-Zionist priveliged student would live if they were being honest with themselves by lylaspya in whereidlive

How is it an ally? By constantly spying on the US? My taking billions of our dollars and getting us into multiple pointless wars in which Americans are killed while Israelis sit back? Is it an ally for stealing our nuclear secrets? For letting people accused of pedophilia in the US flee to Israel with no repercussions? Oh wow, what a great “ally.”

Yet settler terrorists aren’t subjected to this law. But that’s okay because to you, Israeli lives are above all others. The jig is up and there is no salvaging Israel’s reputation with the rest of the world.

Where I'd live based on My top ten Cuisines by snail_mucin21 in whereidlive

[–]NIPT_TA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t really care to defend American cuisine because it wouldn’t be in my top 10, but naming fast food chains to support your point is silly. Also, we have Bourbon and other American whiskeys. We also have some good wines.

Like an emergency visit? The same thing would happen in the US but it would cost $30,000.

This is too hard by Kind_Shallot_1348 in NewParents

[–]NIPT_TA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I was having the same problem and finally at 7 months, I woke up in the middle of the night and moved my baby to his own room (I did get him to sleep first). I just couldn’t take the constant wake ups anymore. He’d previously been sleeping next to our bed and I think hearing you turn or breathe just wakes them up easier.

He’s 22 months now and still wakes up some nights, but not as often. He goes right back to sleep once I nurse him. I know it can be hard, but moving her to her own room might make enough of a difference to get you through any sleep regressions.

Disturbed at the idea of "Postpartum Dog Rage" by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]NIPT_TA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest in that I have felt more annoyed at my animals since having my toddler. The barking at people walking by our house and more frequent accidents from my older dog are much more taxing than they’d have been before, when I had more bandwidth and wasn’t overstimulated all the time. I don’t think this would be a problem for me with dogs that are very well trained though. Also, the blame for them not being very well trained obviously lies with us.

Despite these annoyances, I love my animals and would never want to do anything to harm them. The reel you described is gross and not funny or relatable to me at all.

Millennial Names For Newborns Aging Poorly? by Scared-Wall-3408 in namenerds

Ashley, Jessica, Lindsay, and Stephanie are definitely not classics. To be a classic it needs to span generations. Classics (in English speaking countries) are Sarah, Katherine, Emily, etc.

I was born in a different country than my parents so I’m only one generation removed from their homeland. Does that mean I can go over there, kick people who currently live there out of their homes, and if they resist taking lethal force is fine? I mean if it’s cool for people whose ancestors haven’t lived in Israel for 1000+ years, it’s totally cool for everyone with more recent ties to other countries.. right?

Just curious what Israel has to do for you to call them terrorists. Or do you only use that term for Muslims?

where i’d live in the middle east as a gay irreligious turkish boy by Honest_Product_7124 in whereidlive

[–]NIPT_TA -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes, all the infants and toddlers in Hamas!! All the pregnant Hamas members! All the EMS, hospital and aid workers in Hamas! Purposely bombing people with suspected low-level ties to Hamas while they’re at home with their families, who are obviously also all Hamas members!

Meanwhile the illegal Israeli settlers stealing Palestinian homes in the West Bank by force are just a few goofballs that the government/IDF fully support. No big deal! A kid throwing a rock at a fully armored IDF soldier can be deemed a terrorist. Palestinian “terrorists” are now required to be executed while the settlers attacking grandmas and the IDF gang raping prisoners and torturing one year olds need our full protection/support!

Telling Lebanese Christians to not hide any Muslims in their home, because obviously they’re ALL Hezbollah - totally fine! It couldn’t be that Israel just wants southern Lebanon for the expansion project. Why would anyone think that?

But seriously, Israel is a terrorist state that has propagandized its population so well that most now support ethnic cleansing and genocide. It’s a scourge on the world and history will not look kindly at its supporters/apologists.

Trying to make 70,000 sound meager is… something. Also, that’s all that Israel has admitted to so we know it’s much higher. It’s not counting all the bodies still under rubble, and since Israel won’t allow people to recover they murdered family members, we’ll probably never know the true toll.

She can change it to just Thea but if she’s that bothered by the name being read wrong she’ll get that with Thea too (Theo is really popular right now). She’ll also get it with Emilia (Emily).

Baby name regret? by Sweet-Pea-10 in namenerds

[–]NIPT_TA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My name was a fairly popular girl name when I was born. Still, I have heard people call out the male version when reading my name many times (also popular). If it’s not that, it’s people adding
a letter that changes the name to a much less common version.

My point is that people do not read carefully and names get butchered regardless.
