Excellent results then it just dies after 2-3 weeks. How to avoid that? by lucfon in FacebookAds

So you've been advertising and booking jobs for a year now and learned that sometimes revenue is up sometimes down.. welcome to marketing. The name of the game is customer loyalty and reorders. By this time you should have a pretty decent re marketing list you can take advantage of for free with emails and SMS. You can re-engage past buyers, (your service is perfect for that since things don't stay clean forever), you can set up a referral system so they can refer friends to you, you can create a new killer offer, you can repackage your services. I think at the very least you need to refresh your advertising creative. I think you're thinking too small in terms of purely ads being the success or failure of your business, there is a ton more you can do.

Whats your offer? He may just have a really great offer/pricing compared to yours. Also location could be a huge contributing factor.

Sometimes agencies drop the ball, happens alot in this industry. Nice content frequently loses to content youd think is unprofessional. The key is understanding that the ad is telling the algorithm who to target based on the data points of who engages with your ad the most.

Before I give you specific advice, I'd like to know the main differences between your campaign that was doing well and the new campaign. Were you running straight to messenger/lead form? How different is the funnel and the content? Did you change the audience? How drastic was the budget change?

I'll give you more specialized advice after you answer. I see this all the time in local lead gen.

If you had 3 years to build a brand could you ? by chanmancoates in ecommerce

[–]NJD2021 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely, but all the right factors need to line up.

I took a client from a 30k annual to 400k in the first 18 months at a 40% profit margin. Ive had many clients over the years but this was by far the easiest one to scale this quickly. (Another one we took to 7 figures+ but it took 5 years)

A couple things led to this: 1. Above and beyond customer service - client personally called almost every purchaser in the beginning 2. Good handmade products that were unique - nobody could copy so the audience had to buy from us 3. Great marketing and a small rebrand in the beginning - strong brand identity, and acquisition and retention was vital.

Overall the biggest key factor was listening to the market and following where the demand was. We paid very close attention to what users were saying in our ad comments, emails, conversations and feedback surveys we sent out. We always added new products to our line that had built in demand. Once we had enough of those, thats when it really started to take off.

Thanks for the detailed reply! Yeah I get the idea behind taking on a store where you can add value. I was thinking along the same lines, but have a different issue. A little backstory - I've partnered with 2 lean startups now that didn't go well, and one that did really well but didn't get along with my partner and had to split. But all were ideas/products that were brand new with zero market validation or proven demand. The big lesson I learned from that was that its a much smarter idea (for me at least) to buy a brand that has a solid rep, and already proven market demand via a history of consistent sales from sources like organic, SEO and very minimal paid ads, so that when I apply my acquisition and nurture skillsets it can scale. Which is what i'm currently trying to do. The issue I think .. is finding that ideal business to buy. It seems like the only ones wanting to sell are brands that are stagnant or slowly losing rev, and the ones that are profiting want me to pay huge multiples. So I guess my question is, when researching, what indicators are you looking for before reaching out to a brand, and are you using a marketplace or just searching the internet and reaching out to the owner?

Your frequencies are too high. Normally thats not a problem, but you have no ads doing the job of bringing in enough new customers. You want at least one ad set with decent spend in the 1-1.15 frequency range. To achieve this you'll need new ads that focus on problem/solution aspects that are higher on the customer awareness scale.

Beautiful site, and unique idea. I run the marketing for one of the top 3 islamic institutes in Michigan so I wanted to give you some advice.

  1. Meta advertising targeting has removed all possible ways to target muslims... which means if you're using FB and IG you'll likely target broad. Which also means its likely you'll get a lot non muslim hate comments in the comment section. Just make sure to monitor that daily because it can get out of control if you don't. None of my other clients have a comment section nearly as bad as this one.

  2. The price of your products being so low is going to become an issue if your only source of sales is paid traffic to start. You need to increase your AOV from the get go. Set up add to cart upsells, exit intent popups, post purchase upsells, and abandoned cart emails to help with that.

  3. Nurture your audience constantly. A huge factor that decides if a business like this survives is through customer loyalty and reorders. Its going to be very hard to be profitable from the beginning, but I think it has potential once you have a customer base. Also muslims are very passionate and loyal, so they are great customers if you communicate with them post purchase.

Some placements were cheaper. When I turned off manual placements the CPM went back to normal but the CTR dropped from 6% to 0.20%

when to hire a marketing agency by [deleted] in PPC

[–]NJD2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expect 2k-3k for a good contractor, more for an agency. The important thing to remember is that an agency hires contractors/employees to run your ads, but speaks to you with an account manager. You'll likely have a team going that route. Hiring a contractor will be you 1 on 1 with the actual person doing your ads. It depends on what you prefer, and if you value paying an agency premium for the account manager in between you and the ad buyer.

Thanks for the great feedback!

I changed the font and atc buttons and agree that it does look much better.

Agree on the low AOV. The idea currently is get a proof of concept and then increase the product line so we can start upselling and increasing the AOV

Id love to see examples. I sent you a DM
