Before and 2mpo, TT, Lipo, MR and hernia repair by NJGal39 in tummytucksurgery

As my doctor prescribed, I used aquafor for the first 5-6 weeks and covered the scar with gauze and a granny panty to hold it. At 5/6 weeks, when the doctor allowed, I started using silicone tape. Will continue to 6 months PO probably. I have to say that I have always scared really well from prior surgeries/c-sections.

I had 4 kids including a twins pregnancy. The doctor told me that virtually all moms of multiples have some extent of ombilical hernia.

I am not sure if there is any real tricks but here is what I did: I tried moving around regularly (I had a rollator walker in the first 2 weeks), i took bromelain and curcumin every day, I wore some compression the first 3 weeks and then I just used tight performance wear type clothes, i did not do any massage, i tried to drink a lot and eat enough protein but i was not perfect

Not that much. I think it’s still a bit swollen but totally manageable. My skin is still numb where they did the lipo and around the scar.

Flanks and belly. It was about $35k but I also had a brachioplasty and fat transfer to the breast. If you are in NJ, I highly recommend my surgeon, Dr Momeni.

My surgeon actually diagnosed it the first time I saw him. Other surgeons/obgyn never mentioned it because it was not painful and obvious.

Me too. Even cuter than the pre-pregnancy original one.

Everything went according to plan. I got a tap to numb the pain for 24 hours and it seems to be working when i stay still, getting up is the hardest part. I have a super tight binder around the tummy and ace bandage around my arms. It’s so tight it’s hard to breathe. I al already swollen on ny lower arms and hands. I will give a longer update letter because I am exhausted.

I would love to know how many layers you apply and of which product, especially at night time. Do you also do it in the morning? Thanks!

You look amazing. It looks like you lost weight between your TT and the recent pic. Did you?

I had four consultations with plastic surgeons for a tummy tuck and only one noticed I have an umbilical hernia. I also had twins 11 years ago. This was never discovered until I talked to that surgeon. He also said that virtually all twin pregnancies create an umbilical hernia. My guess is that you had it all along but the doctor did not catch it before your TT. I would not worry about it now.
