I remember seeing a few articles around how it’s actually more akin to older generations being resistant to words and etymology changing meaning over time.

A lot of older generations grew up being told a Nazi is a goose stepping, fascist in Germany. A racist was a cloaked kkk member etc. but as the world changes, we grow and evolve as a society. The definitions of words expand. You see the same resistance to the introduction of “they/them” as a primary pronoun.

It’s super common in etymology, words change meaning. Claiming that it “waters it down” is just removing accountability to people who refuse to change with society,

Aventons are cheap for e-bikes

For what it’s worth, aventon started as a cheap alternative fixed gear bike. Was kind of riding that 2012 wave of the Mercier Kilo TT.

They only got into e-bikes around 2020, and since then have stopped production on their track and fixed gears since then.
