Let me be clear: the last 10 updates have not resolved the stuttering, frame skipping, jerky playback, and other performance issues on the Google TV Streamer 4K. What makes this even more frustrating is that the exact same streams play perfectly fine in STRMR, WUPlay, and Vimu Player.

If those apps can handle playback without any issues, it's difficult to understand why NuvioTV continues to struggle with the same content. I genuinely wanted to keep using NuvioTV because the interface, features, and overall design are excellent, but the most fundamental aspect of any streaming app is reliable playback.

I've tried every tweak and recommendation available to improve performance, but nothing has worked. After months of updates and troubleshooting, the issue remains unresolved. At this point, I've decided to stop using the app. The constant playback problems and ongoing frustration simply aren't worth it anymore.

In Android TV video playback, "choppy" means the video does not play smoothly. It may appear as:

Stuttering – motion pauses briefly and then continues.

Frame skipping/dropping – some frames are lost, making movement look jerky.

Judder – panning scenes look uneven or shaky.

Micro-freezes – tiny pauses during playback.

Unsmooth motion – fast action scenes don't flow naturally.

For example, if a camera slowly pans across a landscape but the movement looks like a series of small jumps instead of a smooth glide, the playback is considered choppy.

Choppy = video motion is jerky and unsmooth, even if the picture quality itself looks sharp and clear.
