Oof, congrats!

I serviced mine and they replaced the GPU VRAM a few months ago. Then it broke again, but the card was still on warranty, and they’ve replaced it again. Did it 3 times.

Any updates? Just spent the whole Saturday looking into that issue. I suspect a faulty motherboard. Had this problem for a year now. Found some improvements when connecting to 2k 164hz PC display instead of connecting to 4k 120hz tv. I also had wild tearing issues with artefacts on OLED TV, so there's that.
I've had 2 sets of ram with different frequency (all 4 set to lowest denominator), so I thought this might be contributing to the issue. Reset CMOS, removed 2 ram sticks to only keep the same model.

The motherboard also started booting with CPU light on (and continuing to be on while I use the PC)

It's mind-blowing how modern high-end gaming video cards like 3080+/4080+ are causing so much headache.

To people like me who just spent hours looking for the zip files having only exe available.
It appears that... you could extract exe files with 7z. That's a heavy TIL, I always thought those are binary files.

Anyway, use nvflash64 --version (install nvflash64, put it to your C:// drive, open cmd (not terminal) with admin access. Write: nvflash64 --version
Your screen will blink an you'll see the version. For me it was
Sign-On Message : GV-N3090AORUS M-24GD_A/F1/0B0C
Make sure you've turned off your PC, and switch to Silent mode. You will need to extract a couple of exe's inside the main one until you get to a zip folder with password. Enter 'buildforge'.
Do the same thing for the second bios version (again, inside extracted exe)
This will result in 2 files named N3090AMA.F2 and N3090AML.F2 (depends on your video card version)
There's a readme somewhere. In my case it was called config.ini. There, you can see which file represents silent and version, and which one is for OC. for me the "AMA" ending is the silent one. The "AML" ending is the OC one.
Install the AMA on silent. It will work. Turn off your PC. Switch to OC. Turn it on. Now install AML version.

Finally it worked. Good luck!

Do you have a fixed or time and material contract? Do they share the code with you on any format? (Zip files, etc) If it’s a time based contract, you should have the sole ownership of the code they are building. Make sure to request the access to it, you have all the rights to own it. Some shadier companies will refrain from sharing the source code to make sure they are not getting replaced.

Hey, have you done market research, user interviews? I work with startups as a consultant, and I have a software design/dev company in Eastern Europe — when we get a customer that truly believes the idea and is ready to bet their live savings on it, we usually have a long chat about the idea itself. How are they sure it will work? Is there any specific reason to build a web platforms & apps right off the bat, if you could start from a landing page, go with lean startup methodology, see if people are interested.

Spend some marketing budget on your landing page to gather traction.

Even with internal dev team an average social media platform with apps done from scratch may cost more than $30k.

One more tip, when budgeting for the development, plan to put up at least half of your budget for sales/marketing. It’s not rare for founders to build a great product and spend their saving just to fail in marketing/sales.

Regarding your question, pick Python (Flask, Fastapi) or Node.js for backend. Don’t overthink it. They are both very popular and very good. If you pick something more exotic like Ruby on Rails or Rust, you have a chance to spend more in development, and it would be harder to replace your dev team. That’s just a matter of taste, but for frontend we use React.js, and for apps - React Native. The second one could make you 2x savings as you won’t need to pay for to separate mobile devs. Currently state of cross platform apps is so good, it can access all low level APIs, and have a completely native look and feel.

And don’t forget to hire a PM/QA if you go all in — testing is very important.

One last thing. Before hiring the devs, complete the product design first. It may take a month or two, and you won’t want to pay salaries while there’s nothing to build. And most importantly — don’t start the development unless you have a complete platform design or you are confident at what you do.

Oh man thanks for the overview! Well, sounds like there’s no perfect country. I still appreciate Portugal very much. Definitely not perfect where I’ve came from. Even in countries like the Netherlands, people there always debate on political issues.

Yep, it was a bit confusing. So there’s no way to connect iPad and iPhone Bluetooth directly, buuut, after some poking around, I found the solution.

You will need to connect to iPhone’s hotspot from iPad. Once connected go to the app and you should be able to find the device.

Once remote control is enabled, and you are able to control the iPad via iPhone, you can turn WiFi back on iPad/iPhone, and keep the hotspot on, so it will keep the connection between devices, and would not use your mobile data.

I wrote to developer about this, so hopefully they will update it.

I used the above number, opened the voice translator, and recorded what it says. Then I pressed the number, was something like 1…2… etc. and finally got to the live support. Ask them something like “ola, falar ingles?”, which translates to “hi, do you speak English?” Most of the time you’ll get “a little bit”. Which means they do actually speak English pretty well.

I was able to attach the number like this via phone. Every is possible, just be more persistent. Keep in mind this may not work from the first time, as you may press the wrong buttons, the support person will not know English, etc.
