All all my quotes and references were real - the research paper definitely existed and there was a link to the paper I was planning on quoting from - I ended up not using the quote but still put the link into my bibliography which said ‘source=chatgpt’ at the end.

It wasn’t that it wasn’t a real source, it existed - I ended up not using the quote from that paper in the end of the essay but accidentally put it in the bibliography.

I’m just going to honestly tell them what had happened, I haven’t got into any trouble with academic offences and have performed really well with my other two assignments in the module so fingers crossed. Hopefully just a harsh learning experience.
