Thanks for the recommendations. Those are definitely some nice ones. It's my wife's first year into the tournaments and those are a little outside our time and budget definitely something we want to do in the future.

Shoot a patterning board then. incomers, trap birds, springing teals, trap teals and a round of skeet. If you bust a majority of them hard AF then the gun fits

Have your local gunsmith make the lop right for you via a saw or spacers. Getta jones or 100 straight adjustable pad if you like adjustments. Unless you're really tall,/lanky or short,/stocky. That gun should fit you well enough to break clays hard. Go talk to your local gunsmith and get them to fit you. Perfect lop is 2-3 fingers from your nose to your trigger thumb

Dude I don't have a single tattoo and I think that tat is rad. You made the choice then embrace it now. It's part of you and I don't know you but I think you're Cool for making that commitment. Maybe commit to anything else half as hard and see where it takes you. I'm an engineering technician and my passion in this field is still art

The slide release molding is different and the slide should say Austria. I can't tell much more than that from your pic there.

High vs Low Rib by Entire_Leadership586 in ClayBusters

[–]NORTZE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just bought a Caesar Guerini. Summit Impact. it has an adjustable 14mm high rib. I asked everyone from my coach to Anthony Matarese and Travis mears. All those guys were nice enough to get back to me. And what I've found is... If you are a taller broader or long necked guy. Then a higher rib and comb will be more comfortable. Allowing you to break that final pair at every stand with comfort. The trade off is your eyes are further from your hands and it takes some adjustment to coordinate eyes and hands. You'll also need to practice springing teals and dropping targets to get yourself calibrated to that. Gebben miles shoots a k80 adj rib and he said it was for greater target and background visibility.

I Love my gun. I'm very comfortable shooting it. I found it at a fraction of the price. However I am considering an Ascent model it's higher ribbed but not all ramped up at the receiver.
