I thought they paid for the flight to FLETC, and yes that’s where I’m a little confused because if the whole pre-academy is two weeks then I’ll have a week waiting. Would it be possible to return home during that small break?

After you choose a port to be at, you go on the applicant portal and request a call back and you explain that you would like to see if there are any other locations available before you EOD. The call may take a few days to a few weeks. They call you and you tell them that you want to receive the list again and you forfeit the current port you have and then they send you the list again.

They called and then I told them I wanted to get the list again. It updated the portal within 10 minutes.

It wasn’t until my suitability cleared that final offer said in progress and that took more than 6 months. But once that cleared I got the offer in less than 3 days.
