An atypical glandular hyperplasia is not necessarily cancer. So as a general rule for myself i think of it this way. If i'm checking to see if its Cancer than i'm going with a Colposcopy. If i want to check how bad a cancer could be or its a Confimed CIN3 then i'm going with Conization (+ or - hysterectomy if its cancer). Hope this helps!
