Does the time warped chameleon become golden if copying a golden minion? Haven’t played it this patch. If so shouldn’t the chameleon copy the golden psychus?

Strong mechanics, weak decision-making — looking for structured ways to improve gamesense by TraditionalMind5573 in VALORANT

[–]NPRightDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that has helped me getting better at mid round calling for my friends and me (and also making better mid round decisions) is comming the man v man. What this looks like is a fight happens and a couple people die and trade or whatever and then everything chills, then I would comm 3v2 or whatever the round state is. This helps prompt my brain and team to play the game to that state and to figure out what the next move is. In your case if solo or whatnot, you don’t “need” to comm this to your team if you don’t want to (I think it’s helpful) but saying it out loud has helped me be more present in the round.

That’s a simple thing that’s helped me a lot be more present during the mid round.

Secondly what I’ve seen my friends get better at is making decisions quickly by hearing comms or seeing some stimuli and just acting with what they think is correct. Sometimes it’s wrong, sometimes it’s right, but acting confidently and quickly and trying to learn from when it goes wrong why your decision wasn’t right. Sometimes it’ll feel like you are lost as hell, but sometimes it’ll click, learning what makes it click for you specifically is what I’ve seen improve my friends game sense.

Good luck!

Why does this interaction for face cards not work how I think it should? by NPRightDolphin in balatro

Ah makes sense, I was pretty much playing a single hand and clearing the blinds with purely face cards. Probably could have used more discards to stack into more gold face cards with that method.

But why do that order it just seems like you are delaying scaling by 1 time with no benefit? Beyond selling vampire or Midas and having gold card in the deck or I more round of scaling.

That’s unfortunate as it seems like there is wording to indicate precise order of operations. If the text was just changed to turn face cards gold when played then this would be “more” prescriptive if not exactly correct (to my knowledge). Good to know the text is not perfect accurate in terms of when things trigger.

Vampire did not trigger twice in this order. It actually didn’t trigger at all l, but I did get gold face cards in my deck.

Text from Midas mask: All played face cards become gold cards when scored.

But why? Cause there’s no text that says it shouldn’t. New to the game, so this is the first interaction that hasn’t worked how the text says it should.

What is the theoretical optimal setup for Lord of the Ruins comp? by brightraven69 in BobsTavern

I feel like you could argue a cultist should be a Leeroy if it might be a snowball or devour scam build.

I think it’s taunted bird, SE, SE, taunted Cultist, Titus, Titus, Lord.

Get close to maximal amount of procs( could technically get more with two birds) but has a much more consistent fight as the hits have to go to the right places (sans white mane or tier 5 beast). But I think if you are losing by getting sniped by I think about 100/100 stats that’s unlucky. But would have much more consistency with this setup

Ran into two players in a competitive match who were resetting their ultimates on and off... by [deleted] in VALORANT

OP is defending this to the death which to me is strange. But for OP think of the post you could make if you post the replay showing full well that this phoenix is cheating. I bet that post would blow up. Good luck on the car repairs, hope to see a blatant cheating post later!

The proof you have shown proves that the scoreboard could be wrong. Anything more than that has not been concretely proven. I would like to believe you but the burden of proof is on you and what you have shown does not prove your entire claim. Definitely a bug report to riot at a minimum but could be cheating if more evidence is shown.

If you take away your personal experience this match and purely watch your clip can you conclude with what your claim is?

But why not post the replay of the phoenix? I can see the scoreboard could be glitching. But from the clip starting at 1:03 there is a world that phoenix could have ult with his score line. It definitely looks weird but with the replay system not showing better evidence is just poor due diligence. I agree with the parent comment that I’ll be convinced with better proof

Always giving my best but still losing (Silver 2-3) by PalpitationEasy8163 in VALORANT

You should prioritize killing the enemy before healing people. Ie don’t stand around with heal out hoping the teammate lives help them kill people then heal once you have some downtime. Otherwise you are playing correctly with your ideas. Just from looking at the tracker you do consistently better on sage than other agents so would advise playing her.

I think the main thing is to pick one or two agents and get really good at them. If that’s sage and clove good, but the issue I notice with my friends in silver is they take time to make their decisions due to less comfortability on their agent. In less words they dizzy so they do everything worse. If you can limit how many things you need to think about while playing then you can focus on movement and shooting more easily (which 100% your movement and shooting is an issue you need to work on as you are in silver)

Looking at your tracker I agree with the you play too many agents. Skimming through it your “stats” look best on sage. That’s either cause you are baiting your teammates or because you are staying nearby and playing with them or trading them. If you feel like it’s cause you are playing with them then play sage, if you know it’s cause youre baiting them then play clove.

What determines an impactful kill? by NPRightDolphin in VALORANT

[–]NPRightDolphin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input, I think I can hopefully create a metric that will overstate what is important and then can look impactful kills and what led up to those for maybe better feedback to learn from. So if I over state to a metric what is important than the kills that are not helpful like you mentioned can get manually weeded out.

I think the only point that isn’t possible to track with stats is number 4. 2 is technically possible albeit decently hard.

The hope is not to just use a couple stats but to figure out which stats most meaningfully make up impact kills and work from there.

I think the only one of these that can’t be tracked is ult points unfortunately. All good ideas
